Welcome to this guided meditation.
My name is Angela,
And today I'll be guiding you through visiting your inner child.
Begin by closing your eyes,
Settling into your body.
Let your shoulders soften.
Unclench your jaw.
Let your breath begin to slow down.
Inhale the cool air through your nose,
And exhale out your nose.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Every time your attention drifts,
Practice pulling your attention.
Every time your attention drifts,
Practice pulling your attention back to your breath.
Inhale,
Exhale.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to gently let go of the outside world.
Be in this moment.
There's nowhere else to be but here and right now.
Imagine yourself standing in front of a softly lit elevator door.
The space around you is quiet,
Calm.
The air feels warm and safe.
The elevator does not lead to floors in a building.
It leads to inward you.
It leads you inward to the deeper parts of yourself.
The doors gently open.
The doors gently open.
You step inside.
As you enter,
You look around and feel completely safe.
The lights inside are soft,
Glowing in a calming amber color.
You feel supported,
Secure,
Cozy.
You feel supported,
Secure,
Cozy.
There are no numbers,
Just one button that says Inner Child.
When you're ready,
You press the button.
The doors close slowly.
The elevator begins to descend.
Softly,
Smoothly,
Gently.
You're going deeper now,
Deeper into yourself.
Each level brings you inward,
Closer to the part of you that has always been there.
Your younger version of yourself,
Still alive within you.
Take a deep breath in.
Feel your heart open just a little more and exhale.
You're going back to not relive,
But to rather reconnect.
Reconnect with yourself with curiosity,
Compassion,
And care for your inner child.
The elevator begins to slow.
It comes to a gentle stop.
The doors open.
You step out and find yourself in a beautiful,
Peaceful space.
It might be a familiar place from your childhood,
Bedroom,
Playground,
Backyard,
Or it might be something entirely imagined and new.
Let it form clearly in your mind now.
Take it in.
What does the space feel like to be in it?
What does it feel like to be here?
What do you see around you?
What do you hear?
What do you smell?
What do you feel on your skin?
And now you look around and in the distance,
You see a child.
A child,
Your younger self.
They may be playing,
Sitting,
Waiting.
Whatever they're doing,
They sense your presence.
They turn to look at you.
Take a moment.
Look at the child's face.
Notice how they feel.
Notice what it's like to look at this child.
Walk over to the child slowly and gently.
Sit down beside them.
Let them know you're here.
You can say anything you want to them.
You can tell them,
I see you.
I'm here now.
You're safe.
Or simply,
I love you.
Now,
Just be together in this space,
You and your inner child.
Let this child show you anything they want.
Offer them your presence.
Maybe hold their hand.
Maybe offer a hug.
Let the moment unfold naturally.
After a little while,
It's time to return.
But you don't have to say goodbye.
This child is always with you.
Invite them to come with you.
Together,
You walk back to the elevator,
Hand in hand.
You step inside.
The doors close.
As you ascend,
Feel yourself holding that connection,
Your younger self still beside you,
Hand in hand,
Connected.
With each floor rising up,
You return to the present moment.
But now with a deeper sense of wholeness,
Compassion,
Connection,
Love for who you were and love for who you are now.
The elevator stops.
The doors open.
You step out,
Back into your present life,
But not alone.
You are whole.
You are complete.
And you carry that inner child with care.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel your body held up by the surface beneath you,
In the room wherever you are.
Feel the cool air as it enters through your nose and exhale.
Exhale out.
Breathing in through your nose,
Feeling the sensation of your breath in this moment back in this room and exhale out to your nose.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Flutter your eyes open as you look around the room.
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up today,
For listening to my meditation and for remembering that every version of yourself is worthy of love and calm.
Thank you as always so much for listening to my meditations.
I appreciate you.
Come back here anytime you need to get connected and grounded.
Thank you.
