Welcome to this Insight Timer recording.

Within this session I'm going to be sharing with you a breathwork exercise called recapitulation which has been used by the Toltec shamans for thousands of years.

This exercise is all about becoming present and connected with the now.

It's also all about reclaiming your personal power so that you can release from any of that stuck energy within your soul and so that you can,

As I've already mentioned,

Embrace the present moment and what the Toltec shamans regarded as the nowel.

You have to let go of the past and release from it and not even actually think about the future but live in this present moment and operate from that place because this is where your personal power is truly activated.

So let me share with you this exercise so that you can become present and connected with the nowel so that you can get out of your thinking mind and connect with this present moment at this very moment in time.

Now you can use this exercise every morning to become connected with the day or you can use it towards the end of the day so that you can disconnect from the day that has passed.

What I love about this exercise the most however is that you can simply and easily do it in any given moment whether you are out and about or whether you are at home.

So it's a beautiful way for you to really connect with who you truly are in the morning and become present with the day ahead.

So let me share this exercise with you now.

Now we are going to start this exercise by turning your head all the way to the right which is regarded as your thinking mind and the right brain.

We then turn our head all the way from the right hand side and look towards the left as we transition from the thinking mind to the nowel and the present moment.

Now as you turn your head from the right to the left you have to take a deep breath in through your nose as you connect with all of your thoughts.

Now when you are in the nowel this is when you release through your outward breath all the way back to turning to the right.

So let me share that with you now.

Breathe in through your nose and from the right to the left as you hold your breath and you breathe out all the way back to your right once more.

Releasing any of those thoughts inside of your mind,

Any of that energy within your body so that you can become present and connected with the nowel.

So let me share that with you again now.

Breathe in from the right,

Stop in the nowel for a moment and then breathe out all the way back to the right.

And you want to do this about three or four times,

Even up to ten times.

And you'll begin to notice that you shift into an altered state of consciousness.

So let me do that three times with you.

Looking all the way to the right,

Breathing in through your nose,

All the way to the left in the nowel and breathe out.

And breathe out.

Now in between these times,

What you want to do is just shake your head from right to left in order to clear your mind and then restart that cycle.

So breathe in through your nose,

Looking to the right and all the way to the left to the nowel and breathe out.

And just shake your head from right to left and back all the way to the right again.

Breathe in through your nose and then release all of that stuck energy and all of that thoughts inside of your mind as you become present and connected with the nowel.

So let's do that three times.

And then allow yourself to just truly become present for the moment as you begin your day and connect with the day ahead or as you begin to release from the day that has passed.

Now I hope you found this exercise to be valuable and useful.

Thank you for this practice, I found it helpful doing the slow movements to become more in tune with my breath as it released tension in my neck and shoulders. Thank you again and blessings upon you 🙏🙏

I was very skeptical but this definitely created a lifted feeling in my body.
