Welcome.

This recording is designed to help manage the symptoms of Meniere's disease.

So finding a quiet and comfortable place where you can relax without any distractions,

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position and let's begin.

Gently closing your eyes and taking a few deep,

Slow breaths.

With each breath,

Imagine a sense of calm spreading through your body.

As you breathe out,

Notice that that out-breath gives a gentle release to any tension or stress you may be feeling.

Notice the out-breath releasing and relaxing.

Let's do a quick and gentle body scan.

Notice the weight of your feet on the floor.

Each individual toe.

The connection your feet have with the floor.

Your heels and ankles.

Imagine them relaxing.

Letting go.

Gently move your awareness up into the calves.

Relaxing and releasing.

Up through the knees into the thighs.

Imagine the thigh muscles switching off.

Up into the hips.

And all the way up the muscles of your back.

Releasing and relaxing.

Move round into the chest and down into the stomach.

Releasing and relaxing.

And pausing here for a moment just to notice the movement as you breathe in and out.

Move up into the shoulders.

Allow the shoulders to drop.

Move your awareness down through both arms.

Releasing.

Down through the elbows.

Softening.

Down through the wrists.

Down into the hands,

Fingers and thumbs.

Welcoming any changes.

Perhaps noticing a gentle sensation of heaviness starting to appear.

Welcoming that heaviness.

Move up into the neck.

And the jaw.

The mouth and the tongue.

The cheeks.

Up into the eyes once again.

And into the forehead.

Allowing the muscles across the face to soften and loosen.

And sitting for a moment with the breath.

Allowing the body to continue its journey down into relaxation.

Let's focus on your breath for a few moments now.

Take a slightly deeper breath in for a count of four.

Hold for a count of four.

And slowly release for a count of six.

This controlled breathing technique helps you maintain a sense of equilibrium.

Continue this breathing.

In for a count of four.

Holding for four.

And slowly releasing for a count of six.

Imagine the breath flowing directly to your inner ear.

Providing it with the oxygen and energy it needs to function harmoniously.

Now imagine yourself descending a staircase.

Counting down from ten to one.

As you count down,

Take one step down that staircase.

With each step down,

And each descending number,

You go deeper into a relaxed state of mind.

Take a few moments to slowly walk down the staircase.

Drifting deeper and deeper.

As you reach the bottom of the staircase,

You find yourself in an even more peaceful and tranquil state.

Now imagine a radiant healing light surrounding your entire body.

This light is not just any light.

It's a potent healing energy.

Visualise and feel this light penetrating through your skin,

And entering your inner ear.

Filling it with a warm,

Calming energy.

Feel this energy resolving any imbalances.

Stabilising the flow of fluid in your inner ear.

As this continues to happen,

I'm offering some positive affirmations.

As I offer these affirmations,

Take time to repeat them silently and privately to yourself.

Feel the words resonate through your entire being.

Truly believe in the power of these affirmations to instil a permanent sense of release.

Now engage in a mental dialogue with your body.

Imagine having a conversation with your inner ear.

Reassuring it that it is safe and supported.

Encourage your body to maintain its equilibrium and to function smoothly.

Imagine scenarios where you're engaging in activities you enjoy without any interference from many others.

Imagine yourself feeling confident,

Stable and at ease in these situations.

While you're in this deeply relaxed state,

Touch your thumb and index finger of your right hand together to create a physical connection.

As you do this,

Tell yourself that whenever you touch your thumb and index finger in this way,

You will remember this sense of calm and control,

Enabling you to tap into this relaxed state at will.

Now imagine the healing energy you've brought into your inner ear now spreading throughout your entire body.

As it circulates,

It removes any other discomforts or tensions you may be experiencing.

This healing energy is making you stronger,

More resilient and better equipped to manage your symptoms.

Imagine taking a moment or two to extend some compassion to yourself.

Dealing with many others can be challenging,

But remember you are doing the best you can.

Feel love and gratitude for your body,

Appreciating its effort to bring you back to balance.

Set an intention and a commitment to play this recording once a day or as often as you feel you need it,

Allowing your body to rest and relax and heal.

I want you to bring back all the positivities from this recording as we now start the journey back to the day.

Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Begin to wiggle your toes and fingers gently.

Gradually becoming aware of your surroundings,

Carrying this newfound sense of calm and balance with you into the day.

Bring back the feeling of empowerment.

Remember that you can revisit this relaxed state whenever you need to manage the symptoms of many others.

Take a gentle stretch,

A slightly deeper awakening breath.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes and return to the day.

Be gentle with yourself.
