So,
Taking some time to sit down and make yourself comfortable,
Feet on the floor,
Hands on your lap,
Taking a slightly deeper breath in and out and closing the eyes,
Allowing the eyes to rest and relax and connecting with the breath,
Noticing the flow in and out.
I want you to notice how different you feel from 40 seconds ago and how simple and easy this technique is to simply sit,
Feet on the floor,
Hands on the lap,
Eyes closed and breathe.
Today's practice is about building a habit,
Creating a habit of hourly mindfulness.
So many people believe there isn't enough time during the day,
But what if I suggested that you set an alarm for once an hour and when that little alarm sounded,
You took one hour,
Minute to sit,
Eyes closed and breathe.
Nothing more than that.
Just one minute to sit and breathe.
Your mind will be clearer,
Your body more relaxed,
Your nerves stronger and steadier,
Your memory improved,
Your stress levels reduced,
Your body recharged.
You'll feel a weight lifted from you.
All this in one minute per hour.
Make a decision now to gift yourself some hourly mindfulness.
And with that decision and that intention,
You can have a gentle stretch,
A slightly deeper breath in and out and open your eyes,
Returning to the day.
