Make sure you're sitting comfortably,
Feeling safe and secure.
This recording is about helping you feel more at ease with your digestive system.
Just focus on my voice and let any distractions fade away.
Allow your eyes to close.
And with the eyes closed and visual distractions removed,
You can start to sink slowly a little deeper within.
Taking a slightly deeper breath in and holding and exhale.
Feeling any tension leaving your body as you breathe out.
Move your awareness to the top of your head and start shifting your awareness with the breath down across the face,
Through the eyes,
Down through the cheeks,
Into the mouth,
The tongue and the jaw.
Feeling these little muscles release and relax.
Letting go.
Simply letting it happen.
Move your awareness down into the neck and down into the shoulders.
Letting the shoulders drop.
Sitting with the breath.
Letting the shoulders release and relax.
Move down through the upper arms,
Down through the elbows,
Down through the wrists,
Down into the hands and fingers and thumbs.
What do you notice in your hands,
Fingers and thumbs?
Is there a sense of heaviness?
If you notice any heaviness beginning,
Just welcome it.
Allow it to expand.
It simply means that muscles are switching off.
Move down through the back muscles.
Releasing and relaxing all the muscles all the way down your back,
Round and into the chest and stomach.
Relaxing and releasing but also noticing the gentle movement with the in-breath and the out-breath.
Down through the hips,
Into the thighs,
Down through the knees,
Into the calves,
Down through the ankles,
Into the feet and toes.
Relaxing all the muscles of the legs and feet.
Perhaps now noticing the weight of your feet on the floor and welcoming it.
Accepting that weight,
That gentle increasing heaviness.
Taking your awareness back to the breath now.
Perhaps it started to slow a little.
Noticing the in and out.
Each breath brings more relaxation,
More calmness,
More peace.
In a moment you'll hear me count down slowly and rhythmically from ten to one.
As I count down from ten to one,
With each number allow yourself to drift deeper into relaxation,
Into peace,
Into stillness,
Into heaviness.
So ready.
Ten.
Drifting a little deeper.
Nine.
More and more relaxed.
Eight.
A little heavier.
Seven.
Sinking deeper.
Six.
Letting go.
Five.
Becoming more peaceful.
Four.
Drifting down.
Three.
Almost there.
Two.
Deeply relaxed.
One.
Completely at peace.
And all the way down.
Deeper and deeper relaxed.
Drifting into a state of deeper relaxation.
Your mind is open and ready to make positive changes.
Your inner mind will only accept suggestions that are positive,
Healthy and beneficial for you.
But when your inner mind recognises any of the following suggestions to be positive,
Healthy and beneficial,
It accepts them gladly.
Changing the way you think and feel in a positive,
Healthy,
Beneficial manner.
Imagine yourself stepping into an elevator.
You feel safe and secure.
Comfortable and calm.
We're going to descend to a place of deep,
Unconscious understanding.
A place where you have full control over your body's responses.
Press the button and feel the elevator gently descending slowly.
Gently descending.
You're safe and in control.
Going deeper with every floor.
Reaching the ground level now,
You step into a beautiful garden.
This garden represents your inner self.
You can find peace,
Understanding and healing here.
In this garden,
You find a path.
You start walking slowly along the path.
And as you do so,
You notice that it's leading you to a centre of healing.
Walking along the path,
Noticing the flowers,
The trees,
The sounds of nature.
Noticing how calm and serene this place is.
You enter the healing centre.
Finding a room filled with warm,
Inviting light.
This is your personal space for healing.
You notice a comfortable chair.
And you sit down and bring your attention to your digestive system.
Imagining a soothing energy,
Like a gentle stream of water flowing through your digestive tract.
Feel it washing away any discomfort,
Tension or irritation.
Imagine your intestines and stomach relaxing,
Functioning smoothly and efficiently.
As you sit there,
Allowing this visualisation to continue,
I'm going to offer three affirmations.
As I offer them to your unconscious mind,
You can repeat them privately,
Silently.
Allow them to become part of you.
Feel the energy contained within these words.
I am in control of my body.
My digestive system functions perfectly.
I am calm,
Relaxed and at ease with my body.
Every day,
In every way,
I feel more in control.
I am in control of my body.

Take a few moments to really feel these affirmations.
Believe them for they are true for you.
Now let's take these feelings and visualisations and integrate them into your daily life.
Imagine yourself going through your normal routine,
Feeling calm and in control of your digestive system.
See yourself enjoying meals,
Socialising and working without any discomfort or concern.
Know that this is not only possible,
But your reality.
It's now time to bring yourself back to full awareness,
Recognising that the changes that you have experienced during this session are coming back with you.
Knowing that you can return to this place of healing any time you need to.
You have the tools within you to control and manage your body.
So I gently count in a moment from one to five.
And with each number you become more aware,
More awake,
A little more energised.
One,
Beginning to move a little.
Two,
Feeling your body.
Three,
Becoming more aware.
Four,
Gently opening your eyes.
Five,
Fully awake,
Refreshed and ready to continue your day.
