Would you like to feel more at peace with yourself and your world? This 36-minute guided relaxation will guide you down into a deep state of physical and emotional stillness and offer positive affirmations and suggestions to help create more peaceful thoughts and actions.

This recording will guide you down into a deep state of physical relaxation.
Therefore it is suggested that you don't drive while listening or operate machinery.
Okay,
It's time to make yourself comfortable.
You can either sit or lie down as long as you're comfortable.
Good.
Let's start the relaxation procedure.
Allow your eyes to close.
Allow them to gently close.
And become aware of your body.
Notice how your body feels.
Do a quick scan down through your body from the top of your head.
Down to your fingertips.
Down to your toes.
And we'll start by doing some breathing exercises.
Take a gentle deep breath in.
Hold it.
And let it out.
Take another gentle deep breath in.
Hold it.
And let it out.
In a moment or two,
You'll hear me count down from five to one.
With each descending number between a five and one.
Try and time your breathing so that when I count,
You exhale.
Be gentle with yourself.
Don't worry at the moment if you can't time it perfectly.
Just go with it.
As you continue to listen to this recording,
It will become more and more natural.
So ready.
Follow your breathing in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
And one.
Very good.
When you time a countdown with your exhalation,
The body relaxes quicker.
Letting go of any discomfort,
Any unnecessary tension or unease.
Let's do that once more.
Breathe in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
And relax.
Drifting deeper down,
Relax.
Good.
Become aware of your right arm and hand.
From the shoulder,
Down through the elbow,
Down through the wrist,
And into your hand,
Fingers and thumb.
Notice the sensations within your right arm and hand.
And the weight of the muscles.
In a moment,
I'll once again count down from five.
Once again,
Time it with your breathing.
And this time,
Notice as I count down,
As you exhale.
Notice how your right arm and hand,
And fingers and thumb,
Is becoming heavier.
Notice the muscles becoming heavier as they become more relaxed.
So as you bring all your awareness to your right arm and hand,
And fingers and thumb.
Breathe in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
Relaxing the arm,
The hand,
The fingers and thumb.
Heavy.
Loose.
Relaxed.
Just let it happen.
Move your awareness now to your left shoulder.
Your left arm,
Down through the elbow,
Down through the wrist,
Into the hand and the fingers and thumb.
And we'll repeat that simple process.
As I count down,
As you gently exhale.
The left arm from the shoulder,
Right down to the fingers and thumb,
Relaxes,
Loosens,
Becomes heavier.
So ready,
Breathe in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
The arm relaxing.
Loosening.
Softening.
Becoming heavier.
Good.
Notice how simple and easy this technique is.
Move your awareness to your right leg.
From the hip,
Down through the thigh,
Through the knee,
Through the calf,
Through the ankles and into the foot and the toes.
As we repeat this simple procedure with the breathing and the exhalation.
Your right leg and foot and toes relaxes.
So ready,
Breathe in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
The right leg and foot and toes,
Heavier now,
Looser,
Softer.
Continuing to relax.
As you move your awareness to the left hip and down the left leg,
Down through the thigh,
The knee,
The calf,
The ankles,
The feet and toes.
Relaxing now.
As you breathe in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
And one.
The left leg heavier,
Softer,
More relaxed.
And through your entire body.
Follow the countdown.
Exhale with each number.
Relaxing the stomach,
The chest,
The muscles down the back,
The neck,
The face,
The forehead,
The scalp.
Breathe in.
And out.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
And one.
Good.
Notice how relaxed you've become.
Notice the heaviness within the muscles.
As we continue,
You can allow the relaxation to deepen,
The heaviness to increase.
As you know now,
The heaviness brings tremendous benefits.
As muscles relax,
As they loosen,
As they get heavier and heavier,
They're able to detoxify quicker.
They're also able to recharge and rebuild quicker.
So in this state of heaviness,
In this deep,
Heavy,
Relaxed state,
Your body is rebuilding,
Re-energizing,
Recharging,
So that curiously afterwards,
You may feel more wide awake,
More energetic than normal.
So welcome the heaviness.
And notice how your breathing has slowed.
You may notice that you're breathing a little deeper,
Down into the stomach.
And that's just perfect.
As you continue to relax,
You may become aware from time to time that your mind has wandered.
It doesn't matter where you go or what you think of.
You can drift down into dreams.
You can go anywhere you like,
Any place.
These techniques and the positive statements,
Suggestions and affirmations will still have a very positive effect.
So you can just let go now.
Drift deeper,
Deeper and deeper relaxed.
In a few moments,
You'll hear me say the words,
Now.
And whenever you hear me say the words,
Now.
Any remaining unnecessary tension is simply melting away,
Leaving your body melting away,
Allowing your body to sink deeper and deeper relaxed,
More limp,
More relaxed,
More comfortable too.
And as you may be aware,
There may be times that your body becomes so perfectly relaxed,
You may not even be aware of it.
You may not even be aware of your body at times.
So ready.
Once again with the breathing.
Breathe in,
And I'd like you to breathe out,
Now.
Let the sound and sensation take you deeper and deeper relaxed.
Breathe in,
And out,
Now.
Heavier and heavier,
Slower and slower.
Breathe in,
And out,
Now.
Notice how relaxed you've become.
And become aware now that these techniques can be used at any point,
As long as you can close your eyes safely and securely.
You can use these techniques to guide you down into this level of relaxation,
And with practice,
Much deeper.
In a moment I'm going to offer some suggestions for personal peace,
Inner and outer peace.
These suggestions will only be accepted when your unconscious mind recognizes them to be healthy,
Positive,
Beneficial.
But when your unconscious mind recognizes any of the following suggestions to be healthy,
Beneficial,
Positive,
It accepts them gladly,
Allowing them to become part of you,
Part of your inner world,
Part of your everyday experience,
Changing the way you think,
Act,
React,
Feel and behave in a positive manner.
Your unconscious mind has access to all your resources,
All your abilities,
All your skills and strengths.
And therefore,
As I speak directly to your unconscious mind,
You're aware now that you're able to cope with any situation that arises.
You are able to cope with any situation that arises.
You are able to remain balanced,
Grounded,
Centered and at peace,
Regardless of what's going on around you,
Regardless of who is there with you,
And regardless of where you are.
You remain balanced,
Grounded and centered,
Regardless of what's going on around you,
Regardless of who is with you,
And regardless of where you are.
When you choose to,
You remain at peace.
You're breathing slow and steady,
Your mind calm and yet alert.
And as the days go by,
Listening to this recording,
And the days turn into weeks,
And the weeks go by and turn into months,
These peaceful resources become more and more a part of your inner being,
Changing the way you think,
Feel,
Act and react on a daily basis.
So when you choose to,
You remain at peace.
Your breathing remains slow and steady,
Your mind remains calm and yet alert.
The days go by,
The weeks go by,
The months go by,
And these peaceful resources,
Peaceful thoughts,
The peaceful way of being become more and more a part of you,
Part of the real you,
Changing the way you think,
Feel,
Act and react,
On a daily basis.
You find yourself smiling more,
A natural,
Beautiful smile that comes from deep down within you.
You are smiling more,
Your natural,
Beautiful smile coming from deep down within you.
And as you smile more,
You feel better,
You feel at peace.
And as you feel better,
And more and more at peace,
You feel more joyful.
So you find yourself smiling more,
You find yourself feeling better,
You're more at peace.
And as you feel better and better,
And more at peace,
You feel more joyful.
As you move through your day with ease,
You find,
Curiously,
That your energy is affecting those around you.
People seem to slow down a little,
They are smiling more,
They seem more peaceful and easy going.
So you move through your day with ease,
Your energy is affecting those around you in a positive way.
People seem to slow down a little,
To take their time,
They are smiling more,
They are more peaceful and easy going.
And as you become more peaceful,
Internally and externally,
You realize that your world is gently changing.
Things seem different,
Easier,
Happier,
Slower.
As you become more peaceful with yourself,
Your world is changing.
It's different,
Gentler,
Happier,
Slower.
Situations that,
In the past,
May have caused you discomfort or unease,
Now seem to be resolved easily and effortlessly.
You're finding that situations that,
In the past,
May have caused you discomfort or unease,
Are now being resolved easily,
Effortlessly.
Your sense of gratitude expands and you feel more and more connected to those around you.
Your sense of gratitude is expanding and you are more connected to those around you.
Because you have a greater feeling of peace now,
Peace with yourself and your world,
You're living more in the moment.
You have greater clarity of thought.
You find it easier and easier to find natural solutions to challenges.
You have more patience with yourself and with others.
You're sleeping better,
Eating healthier,
Looking after yourself in every way.
You're feeling much more at peace with yourself,
Much more at peace with your world.
You're living more in the moment,
Appreciating a greater clarity of thought,
Easily finding solutions to challenges.
You have more patience now,
For yourself and others.
You're sleeping better,
Eating healthier,
And looking after yourself in every way.
You have a more peaceful life and a calmer and more relaxed energy.
Your attitude is one of peace,
Gratitude,
Positivity.
You go on peacefully day after day and every day now is a pleasure.
Your unconscious mind,
Having accepted these positive,
Healthy,
Beneficial suggestions,
Is allowing them to become part of you,
Part of your inner world,
Part of your everyday experience.
In a few moments,
I'm going to count from one to ten.
With each ascending number between one and ten,
You become a little bit more awake and aware and alert.
At eight,
Gently open your eyes,
And at ten,
You're fully back,
Rested and refreshed,
Relaxed.
If,
However,
You want to continue the relaxation and perhaps drift into sleep,
Just simply ignore the count up.
You can drift down into natural sleep.
Should you wish to come back fully awake and rested and refreshed,
You can do so now.
As I count one,
Two,
Three,
Coming back,
Four,
Five,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Coming back up,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Eyes gently open,
Eyes gently open,
Nine,
Ten,
Wide awake,
Wide awake.
