Welcome to this morning meditation aimed to help you start your day with gratitude.

Begin by settling in and getting into a comfortable position.

Whether you are sitting or lying down,

Take a moment to roll your shoulders down your back,

Really opening up your chest and heart space,

Feeling this area expand as you fill your lungs with air.

Make any subtle movements that get you to a place of relaxation and if you haven't done so already,

Gently close your eyes.

Take notice of your breath and on your next inhale,

Breathe in fully,

Deeply into your belly.

Hold at the top for two counts.

Now fully exhale out,

Releasing all the air and hold at the bottom for two counts.

Release the hold and allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

With each day that begins anew,

You have the opportunity to feel grateful for who you are,

All you have,

Everything you experience and all the beauty and miracles that surround you.

They are in abundance but can be easily missed if an effort is not made to recognize or acknowledge them.

Repeating this practice daily can help you to build that awareness so that your lens naturally shifts to pick up on all the good that happens throughout your day.

In this moment,

Bring to mind someone or something for which you are truly,

Unconditionally grateful.

As you visualize,

Focus on the feeling and amount of gratitude you have for this person or object.

Notice what that physically feels like in your body,

Really dialing into the feeling and where you sense it the most.

As you continue your focus on that which you value,

You may notice a warming sensation in your heart space.

Visualize this sensation as a positive energy that you are emitting into the space around you,

Into the world from your heart and imagine it reaching wherever you intend for it to go.

As you continue to tap into this heartwarming sensation of gratitude,

Remember that you get to be a part of this beautiful,

Albeit challenging human experience and there is no one else out there that has your unique qualities or can contribute to this lifetime in the way that you do.

Feel gratitude for your inner wisdom,

Your strength,

Your fortitude and vitality.

Feel grateful for everything that gives you life,

Everything that supports you and nourishes you.

Now take a few moments to yourself to hold space for anything else for which you'd like to extend gratitude.

Bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Take a deep breath in and exhale out fully.

When you are ready,

Slowly blink open your eyes.

Remember that you can call on this feeling of gratitude throughout your day and bring it to mind anytime you need.

May you carry peace with you wherever you go.

Thank you for listening.
