Hello beautiful human being and welcome to our meditation together.
Today we are going to start by getting grounded onto Mother Earth.
So I invite you to come to comfortable seats,
Cross-legged or sitting down in a chair or perhaps today it feels comfortable to lie down in bed and all of this is okay.
So choosing your comfortable position,
Getting grounded with the contacts on Mother Earth,
Feeling her pressing against your body,
Just checking in which parts of your body are touching her.
She's supporting you so unconditionally,
So lovingly.
And we learn to trust her,
We learn to relax into her and drop our whole weight onto Mother Earth.
So let us do exactly that.
Lean into her,
Relax our whole bodies and allow her to support us.
So let us take a deep breath together,
Inhale and relaxing all of your body parts,
Exhale.
Taking another deep breath in,
Letting go of all the tension.
And another deep breath in,
Making your body feel heavy,
Relaxed.
Every muscle releasing the tension,
Checking in with your body now if you can find any tension anywhere,
Maybe in your shoulders or your belly,
Your thighs,
Your feet,
Your hands,
Fingers,
Toes,
Forehead,
Your jaw,
Your neck.
Doing a quick body scan,
Just checking in to see where tension dwells in your body today.
And sending the conscious breath to this areas,
Relaxing it with every exhale,
Feeling the wave of relaxation ripple through your body.
And now that we feel more relaxed and our bodies heavily pressing against Mother Earth,
We are learning how to trust it,
How to trust life,
How to trust ourselves.
We learn to surrender into the unknown,
Into the uncertainty of life,
Into the mystery of every day.
We learn to trust that life's got our back,
That it's got their best of intentions,
That even when hard things happen,
There is a silver lining,
There is a gem,
A hidden treasure in our hardship.
So I now invite you to think of a challenging situation you have come across recently.
Maybe a negative emotion was triggered,
Past wound,
Something that didn't make you feel quite right.
Maybe it is a trigger that happens often.
I invite you to bring this scenario,
This situation into your mind's eye.
For this is where the work lies,
Sitting with difficulty and learning its messages for us,
Beginning the life's lesson.
And now I give you space to sit with your breath and the difficult situation in your mind's eye.
By bringing this situation into our minds,
It makes us feel the emotion.
The movement happens in the body,
Perhaps the tension returns.
Notice where does the tension live in your body associating with this event?
We unknowingly store tension in our bodies in certain situations.
And now I invite us to explore together the emotion that this situation brought forth for you.
Just really enquiring how did it make you feel?
Perhaps angry,
Frustrated,
Annoyed,
Sad.
Just finding a name for this emotion.
And now I invite you to think and enquire about what did you tell yourself in that moment?
What is the belief that you held in your mind's eye when it happened?
I am not good enough,
I am not lovable,
No one understands me,
I am always wrong.
What is the belief that was guiding your perception of reality at that point in time?
What did you tell yourself?
Now that you hopefully identified the belief,
Let us challenge that belief.
Is it really true?
Are you really not good enough or unlovable or not worthy,
Always get it wrong?
Let us entertain an idea that perhaps this belief is not true at all.
Perhaps quite the opposite is true.
Perhaps in fact you are good enough.
Perhaps you are lovable and worthy.
So in your mind's eye turn that belief around,
Come up with the opposite of it.
I am worthy,
I am lovable.
Whatever your belief is you are working with.
And now turn it into a mantra.
Repeat it as you breathe.
Time after time after time repeating the same positive belief.
I am good enough,
I am good enough,
I am good enough.
Call the mantra of your choice.
And let us spend a few breaths focusing on this mantra and repeating in this beautiful and spacious place of relaxation being held by Mother Earth.
Deep breathing together.
Breathing in your new belief.
Open your mouth exhaling it all out.
Breathing in your new belief again articulated in your mind.
Open your mouth and exhale the old belief that no longer serves you.
And last one,
Breathing in your new belief.
Open mouth releasing the old.
And now when this challenging situation arises again and it will,
Can you bring yourself back to this moment where you have consciously restructured your belief into something different.
And perhaps next time you'll be able to make a different choice in the moment.
Choose to feel differently,
Act differently.
Show up differently.
