Now the practice towards yoga nidra begins.

Be aware of your whole body as it rests on the surface that you chose.

Feel the points of contact between your body and the earth beneath you.

And allow those points of contacts to deepen,

Allow them to melt a little bit more into the earth.

And feel that the earth is rising towards you to hold you and support you and hug you.

And if you can tense up your whole body,

Squeeze your hands,

Squeeze your facial muscles,

Squeeze your toes,

Your glutes,

Your abdomen,

Your chest,

Your whole body,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

And release.

And feel those points of contact again,

Feel them get deeper into the earth or into the surface that's underneath your body.

Let's do this one more time.

Squeeze everything you got.

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

Squeeze,

And release and melt into the surface.

And one more squeeze everything you have.

Squeeze,

Squeeze as hard as you can and hold the squeeze,

Hold the tension a little bit longer,

Squeeze,

And release.

And be aware of your right thumb,

Your right index finger,

The right middle finger,

The right ring finger,

The right pinky finger.

Be aware of the right palm.

Be aware of the back of your right hand.

Be aware of your right wrist,

Your right elbow,

Your right shoulder,

Your throat,

The right armpit,

The inside of your right arm,

The right elbow,

The right wrist,

The right hip joint,

The tailbone,

The inside of your right leg,

Your right knee,

The right kneecap,

The space behind your right knee,

Your right ankle,

The top of your right foot,

The sole of your right foot,

The right big toe,

The right second toe,

The right third toe,

The right fourth toe,

The right pinky toe.

Be aware of the right ankle,

The right knee,

The right hip joint,

The tailbone,

The outside of your right leg.

Be aware of your whole right leg.

Release any tension remaining in the right leg.

Feel that right leg as if it is made out of stone.

Let it be heavy.

Remind yourself that you can move this right leg anytime you want,

But you choose not to move it.

Then be aware of your left thumb,

Left index finger,

Left middle finger,

Left ring finger,

Left pinky finger.

Be aware of the left palm,

The back of the left hand,

The left wrist,

Left elbow,

Left shoulder,

The throat,

Left armpit,

The inside of the left arm,

Left elbow,

Left wrist,

Left hip joint.

Be aware of the tailbone,

The inside of your left leg,

Your left knee,

Left kneecap,

The space behind the left knee,

Left ankle,

Top of the left foot,

The sole of the left foot,

The left big toe,

Left second toe,

Left third toe,

Left fourth toe,

Left pinky toe.

Be aware of the left knee,

The left hip joint,

The tailbone,

The outside of your left leg.

Be aware of your whole left leg.

Feel it as if it is made out of stone,

So heavy.

Remind yourself you can move your left leg anytime you want to,

But you choose not to move it.

Be aware of your hips,

Your tailbone,

Both legs,

The feet and the toes,

And release them into the earth.

Be aware of the tailbone.

Be aware of your navel,

Your solar plexus,

Your diaphragm,

The right breast and the left breast,

Your sternum,

The center of your chest,

Your throat.

Be aware of your shoulders,

Your upper arms,

Your elbows,

Your forearms,

Your wrists,

Your hands,

Your fingers,

And feel them become heavy,

As heavy as stone.

You can move them if you want to,

But you choose not to move them.

Be aware of the legs,

The hips,

The shoulders,

The arms,

The hands,

The feet,

The fingers,

And the toes.

Be aware of your abdomen,

The lower abdomen,

The upper abdomen.

Be aware of the ribcage,

Your chest,

The space behind your sternum,

The size of your fist,

The cave of your heart,

The home of your higher self.

Be aware of your throat,

And be aware of your whole torso and your limbs,

And allow them to become so heavy.

You can move them any time you choose to,

But you choose not to move them at all.

Be aware of your facial muscles.

Be aware of your chin,

Your jaw,

Your cheeks,

Your ears,

Your lips,

Your tongue,

Your nose,

Your eyes,

Your temples,

Your eyebrows,

And the center of your eyebrows.

Draw an energetic line from the center between your eyebrows to the point where the back of your head touches the earth.

Draw a line from the center point between the eyebrows to the crown of your head.

Draw a line from the crown of the head to the point where the back of your head touches the earth.

Observe this triangle you just drew.

Allow your mind's eye to show you alight,

Air,

Color,

Water,

Fire,

Ether.

Start moving with your mind,

With your consciousness,

With your awareness from one point to the other.

You're moving between three points.

Center point between the eyebrows,

Crown of the head,

And a point in the back of your head where your head is touching the earth.

Back to the center point between the eyebrows.

Now let go of your triangle and be aware of your head and allow it to become so heavy.

Be aware of your head,

Your torso,

Your limbs,

And feel them get heavier and heavier.

You know that you can move them anytime you want to,

But you choose not to move them.

You might feel that with this stillness there's also an emptiness,

Emptiness of thoughts,

Emptiness of emotions,

Emptiness of reactions,

Distractions,

Stimulations.

It's like your body is in a void.

It's floating in space.

Remind yourself that you are practicing yoga nidra.

You are journeying to your deepest self.

You're journeying to that place where everything begins and everything ends.

Remind yourself of your sankalpa.

Remind yourself of your intention,

Your resolve,

Your prayer,

Your wish.

And then open the center of your heart and plant your intention there like you're planting a seed that you're going to watch grow.

So look around the center of your heart.

Explore and find the perfect spot for your seed,

For your intention and plant it there knowing that you will nurture this intention,

This seed.

Knowing that you will love this intention,

This seed.

Knowing that you will trust that the universe knows what to do with your intention,

With your seed.

Knowing that you won't be checking on your seed and on your intention every minute or every day or every week.

You're going to trust that by nurturing your intention,

By loving your intention,

It's going to grow into whatever it is meant to grow into.

A flower,

A plant,

A tree,

A forest.

Now without opening your eyes,

Just imagine yourself getting up and tiptoeing away from your physical body,

Making sure you don't disturb the peace.

And as you walk away from the body,

Find a forest and find the opening to the forest and walk inside.

And look up and see how tall the trees are in your forest.

Watch the leaves.

Watch the sun ray through the leaves.

Watch the birds,

The butterflies,

The flowers.

And keep walking through your farms towards a destination that you have no idea about.

All you know is that you see the path.

You know that you're going to walk this path.

You trust the universe to show you the way.

You accept the path that is meant to be for you.

As you walk through your path,

You keep looking up,

Enjoying,

Absorbing all the beauty,

All the goodness of your forest.

The smells,

The feels.

Then you hear something beautiful from the distance.

Sounds like chanting.

You can't really understand the words or the tune.

You're not sure if you've heard this before.

It just sounds so familiar.

It sounds so beautiful.

Even though you can't understand the words or their meanings,

You just feel at home.

You feel the vibration.

And the vibration makes you feel so happy,

So relaxed,

So joyful,

So content.

Actually,

You feel so content that you find a space in the forest.

And from the falling leaves,

You make yourself a nest.

And you lie down on the leaves,

Looking up towards the sky.

You see the sky and the clouds through the leaves of your tall trees.

You see the sun rays and you feel them on your skin.

You feel tired but happy.

You feel that you can use a nap.

Maybe you need to go somewhere in a dream.

You trust your instinct.

You look around you one more time to make sure you're aware of the space around you.

You're aware of everything that surrounds you.

You're also aware of your body.

You're aware of the earth underneath you and the sky above you and the forest surrounding you.

And you simply fall asleep.

You're aware of everything that surrounds you.

You can also use this time to journal.

Write down anything that shows up for you.

You can use this time to be creative,

Be thoughtful,

To journal,

Or simply to sit quietly enjoying the effect of that meeting with your higher self.

Whatever you choose to do is up to you.

Try to keep the peace for as long as possible and know that it's always there.

You can tap into it anytime you need to.

Sometimes closing the eyes helps,

But you really don't have to close your eyes knowing that the seed that you planted at heart center is always there and it's growing.

You can always give it love,

Give it nourishment.

And always pay attention to it.

Just don't dig it up.

Don't keep looking,

Don't keep wondering when is it going to manifest.

Simply trust that the universe knows what to do with that.
