The new year can be an exciting time of the year. It's a symbol of starting over and new beginnings. It’s the time of the year of celebration, possibilities, hope and embracing change. It’s also time to think about what you want to leave behind before we start fresh again in the new year. The New Year can be a really exciting time.

It's a symbol of starting over and new beginnings.

It's the time of the year of celebration,

Possibilities,

Hope,

And embracing change.

It's also the time when we start to plant new seeds and start to envision what we want our life to look like.

It can also be a time of reflection,

Recognizing that who you are today is different compared to a year ago.

It's a time to look back and acknowledge how brave you have been,

Reflecting on the lessons and gifts that have come from any challenges you endured.

And it's also time to think about what you want to leave behind before we start fresh again in the New Year.

Today I'm going to guide you in a reflection meditation to say goodbye to last year and welcome the New Year with an open heart.

When you're ready,

Get in a comfortable position,

Close your eyes,

And start to take some deep breaths in through your nose and out of your mouth.

Noticing the rise and the fall of your breath.

Starting to become present with this moment.

How does your body feel?

What is it holding on to?

What does it want to release?

And as you're breathing gently in through your nose and out of your mouth,

Invite your body to start to soften,

To start to surrender,

Reminding your body and mind that you are safe,

That you're not going to judge it,

And that all emotions are welcomed.

All sensations and reflections without any judgment.

Still breathing in through your nose and out of your mouth.

We're going to ground your body.

At the base of your spine,

Imagine roots growing into Mother Earth.

Imagine that these roots are connected to the center of the planet.

These roots are going to support you during this meditation to help you release any energies that don't belong to you.

Releasing anything that you're ready to let go of and to remind you that you're not alone.

You are supported and you are loved.

Now connect with your heart.

While being connected with your heart,

Start to look back on last year.

We're going to do a clearing of feelings,

Experiences,

Beliefs,

Anything that you do not want to take forward with you into this new year.

Imagine some boxes out in front of you.

And in those boxes,

You're going to put any struggles,

Any losses,

Any shocking moments,

Betrayals,

Confusion,

Any heaviness that you've been carrying,

Any fears,

Uncertainty,

Worries.

And as you imagine placing all of these things in boxes,

You're doing it with gratitude,

Thanking them for wanting to protect you,

Thanking them for the lessons,

For the growth,

For the reminder of how resilient you are,

How strong you are,

How resourceful you are.

As you're imagining removing all of this from your space,

Check back in with your body and notice if you're feeling lighter.

Feel free to stretch,

To move your body,

Open your jaw really wide.

Whatever you need to do to feel like you have more space within you,

Do that now.

Once you feel like you have put everything into the boxes that you want to let go of,

Anything that you have outgrown,

Including relationships,

Jobs,

Agreements,

We're going to put these boxes in a giant balloon that's going to float everything that you want to let go of out to outer space.

See the boxes float away,

Creating more distance and space between you and the boxes.

Feeling like you're able to breathe more easily,

Like you have more space to move,

More space to call in your dreams and desires.

Take a deep cleansing breath in through your nose and exhaling any stale energy out of your mouth.

Deep breath in and exhale.

One more deep breath in and exhale.

Now we're going to move into the fun stuff,

Creating and manifesting.

We're going to call in your dreams by connecting with your third eye,

The space between your eyebrows.

Imagine a movie screen out in front of you and imagine projecting onto the screen from your third eye your life,

The things that you're going to create and manifest in the new year.

Don't forget all the details,

The timelines.

Ask for help,

Trust,

Surrender,

And have fun.

Make sure you include time for you to rest.

Notice you're imagining what this year is going to look like and how you wanted to feel.

Feel that excitement in your body.

Feel your heart open and ready to receive,

Reminding yourself that you are ready,

That you are deserving,

That it is time for you to live a bigger life,

To live your authentic self,

To take up space,

To be heard and seen,

To start putting energy,

Action,

And momentum into those dreams that seem impossible,

Those dreams that scare you,

But that deep down inside is your truth,

Your life path.

Breathe in and exhale,

Feeling light,

Expansive,

And glowing.

Stay here imagining your life as long as you would like.

And when you're ready to come back,

Take a couple deep breaths in through your nose and out of your mouth,

In through your nose and out of your mouth,

Taking your time to gently and slowly come back.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Taking a few moments to write down this bigger life that you just created for yourself.

Write down those details.

Write down what you're excited about.

And throughout the year,

Go back and look at this list,

Checking in to see what actions you've taken towards them,

Checking to see if there's anything that you want to change,

Always remembering to trust and surrender.
