Welcome to this meditation on celebrating ourselves and bathing in the feeling of self-pride and accomplishment.
Sometimes,
Because of our negativity bias,
We are so focused on what is not going well,
On where we have fallen short,
Where we have disappointed or failed.
And we fail to see how far we've come,
All the obstacles we've overcome and all the lessons and experiences that we've not only gone through,
But we've grown through.
So allow yourself to get very comfortable now,
Gently closing your eyes,
And let's take a comfortable breath together,
Inhale and exhale.
Allow your breath to find a comfortable,
Natural rhythm now,
And as you are settling into yourself,
With your eyes closed,
We're turning our attention inwards.
And I want you to imagine that you are standing on a big line,
Your lifeline.
And you see yourself from age zero to all the way where you are now.
And you are standing on your current age and there is still a long way to go.
But we're not focused on the future here,
We are focused on the person we've become today and how far you came to get to here.
How all the scenarios and visualizations of your biggest,
Most beautiful accomplishments show up.
It's like they are unfolding in front of you on a huge screen.
And you don't necessarily need to focus on external achievements such as diplomas or trainings,
But you can also remember moments that you were there for another person,
That you chose yourself,
Or perhaps a moment where you set a boundary that needed to be communicated and held.
And maybe an accomplishment is going on that vacation or treating yourself.
And perhaps you start to envision also those difficult moments,
The moments full of tears,
The moments full of pain.
And they start to transform and you begin to see how you got through that.
You made it through 100% of your most challenging and difficult days.
And that is something incredible to celebrate.
As you envision these moments,
These screenshots,
These feelings,
Allow yourself to truly feel that wow,
I did this,
Wow,
I overcame my fear.
And I actually tried that new thing out.
And perhaps if it feels comfortable to you,
You can give yourself an embrace now.
You can hug yourself by placing both hands on your shoulders or your arms and gently squeezing,
Gently holding yourself.
As you are filling up with these emotions of pride,
Of gratitude,
Of celebration,
Perhaps you can envision your inner child,
Especially if you've grown up being often criticized or judged upon.
You can envision your inner child or your inner teenager perhaps.
And you can update them,
You can inform them.
Tell them your age.
Tell them that you made it here,
To this point,
To this moment.
And watch their reaction as they become surprised and filled with admiration for you.
And together you can bathe in this beautiful feeling of fulfilment,
Wholeness,
Validating yourself.
Perhaps telling yourself the words that you are waiting on somebody else to tell you.
So you can tell yourself,
I am so incredibly proud of you.
You made it through the hard days.
You can celebrate your victories.
You did the right thing,
Even when it was so hard and difficult.
You got through that difficult period.
You set that boundary.
You tried out that new thing.
You got out of your comfort zone.
You chose yourself and I am so proud of you for that.
And if it helps,
You can redirect these words towards your inner child,
But you can also redirect them towards the version that you are now,
Because you deserve that.
And then closing off our practice with some self love and repeating to yourself,
I love you.
I love you so much.
I love you so deeply.
I am so proud of you.
And notice how your entire cup of self love,
Your cup of validation has been completely filled from the inside.
This is so special that you are here right now,

Whenever you are ready,
You can take a deep breath and then gently coming back into your body,
Gently opening your eyes and becoming curious about the room that you are in right now,
Reorienting yourself back into this space,
Into this room,
Here and now.
Feel yourself grounded,
Rooted in a deep sense of self love.
