This meditation is designed to help you descend into your parasympathetic nervous state, calming your mind, bringing your body to rest. We then explore the breath and intertwine your breath with the activation of the Anja Chakra, the third eye point, where our intuition and wisdom is stored. We practise flowing this through your body and activating it in times of confusion to bring you back to your innate self.

Welcome to our awakening of the Anja chakra meditation.

The Anja chakra is our third eye,

Thought to be the link between us and our natural intuition.

Especially as women I feel like we have such a strong Anja chakra and it's really important when going through your pregnancy,

Birth and even parenting experience to know how to tap into this space.

We're going to start with some Nadi Shodhana breaths which is alternate nostril breathing.

With your peace fingers of your left hand placing them on your third eye.

Using your thumb to cover your left nostril and your ring finger to cover your right.

First of all covering with your left nostril.

Inhale in through the right nostril.

Close the right nostril.

Open the left nostril.

Exhale out.

Inhale in through the left nostril.

Close the left.

Open the right.

Exhale out of the right.

And this is one round.

Continue to do this breath of Nadi Shodhana.

As you inhale in through one nostril.

Feeling the breath shooting towards that third eye.

Visualising the rotation of that chakra.

As you inhale into that third eye and exhale.

Continuing with this alternate nostril breathing.

Visualising as the third eye activates more and more.

Allowing that intuitive energy to flow through your body.

Ensuring your belly is raising with your breath and retracting with your exhale.

Ensuring that our breath is filling the bottom of the diaphragm before possibly reaching the chest or the back and side ribs.

Exhaling your fingers away from your face now.

Take a deep breath into the bottom of your belly.

Feel the side and back ribs ascend that breath all the way to the top of the head and exhale away.

Using these big diaphragmatic breaths filling the entire diaphragm to circulate this intuitive energy around the body.

Trusting that as women we know how to birth our babies.

Our bodies know what to do in the most natural experience.

This is biologically what our bodies are designed to do is to birth babies.

Hold so much faith for that process.

Throughout your pregnancy and throughout your labour and birth tune into this third eye meditation.

Listen to what your body is telling you.

Listen to what your baby is telling you.

They have such subtle ways of communicating exactly what they need.

Whether that be a certain position,

A certain movement throughout your labour.

Rather than holding onto fear,

Having doubt.

Tune into your body and figure out what it and your baby is telling you to do.

Taking a deep breath into this feeling.

Taking a deep breath into this feeling.

If you ever feel fear or doubt just remind yourself of this feeling of faith in your body to do what it's naturally designed to do and remember that.

Slowly blinking open your eyes.

If you ever feel fear or doubt just remind yourself of this feeling.
