Hi,

I'm Amy Pat T.

Colvin.

Thank you for joining me today.

This visualization offers you an opportunity to work on your own inner healing and reduce physical discomfort or pain in the body,

So you can find a new sense of ease.

It helps you transform your tension into flowing life force energy.

Begin by minimizing the distractions around you so you can focus on this visualization for the next few minutes.

Find a comfortable position.

You could be lying down,

Seated on a cushion,

Or seated in a chair.

If you're seated,

Imagine being lifted gently by the crown of your head.

Breathe at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Relax your jaw.

Relax your forehead.

Relax your neck and shoulders.

Put a gentle,

Easy smile on your face and slowly close your eyes or drop your gaze,

Whichever feels better for you.

Throughout this visualization,

You may notice that your mind wanders away and that's okay.

It's perfectly normal and very human.

When you notice that you've drifted,

Smile to yourself and bring your awareness back to your breath,

Your body,

And my voice.

As you deepen your relaxation,

Take a series of long,

Deep breaths all the way into your belly.

As you inhale,

Draw your breath all the way down to the bottom of your abdomen and when you have reached full capacity,

Release it and exhale slowly and fully without forcing it.

As you breathe out,

Imagine that along with all the tensions in your body,

Your tensions in your body,

You're also clearing your mind of any worries,

Anxiety,

Or stories that may be present.

Take a moment to notice how your body feels.

Notice where you carry tension,

Tightness,

And stress.

Notice any challenges or worries about your health,

Discomfort,

Or pain lingering at the front of your mind.

There's no need to run away from your body's pain or problems.

When your body expresses itself through pain and discomfort,

It's simply asking you to listen.

Imagine listening to your body as you would if a good friend came to you with a problem.

Pain and discomfort are a message and that message can help you make some shifts in your life.

It could be a small shift like getting a new chair or a big shift like finding a new job.

The pain and discomfort in your body are telling you to change something in your life,

To change an attitude,

Emotion,

Behavior,

Or pattern.

Listen deeply and fully to what that pain is saying.

And as you do so,

You may notice that pain or discomfort begin to ease or dissipate.

So take a few more long,

Slow,

Deep breaths and soften your resistance,

Soften your perceptions,

Soften your need for control.

Simply be present with whatever is happening in your body.

Notice any areas that feel tight or tense.

Notice where you carry your stress and notice any areas that need extra attention or healing.

And for just a moment,

Breathe into those areas,

Relaxing them.

Now visualize a golden warm light shining on your face like you're watching a beautiful sunrise or sunset.

As you breathe deeply and fully,

Imagine that warm golden light entering every pore in your face.

Imagine all the cells in your face and head being bathed in this warm golden light.

You feel yourself absorbing that golden light,

Drawing it in.

You notice the tension or tightness around your forehead,

Eyes,

And jaw releasing and relaxing.

This golden warm light washes over the top of your head and you feel your scalp relax.

Let this golden warm light flow from your scalp and head onto your neck and feel a deep sense of relaxation shifting from your scalp and your face to the muscles of your neck.

Inhale deeply,

Fully,

And slowly.

Exhale deeply,

Fully,

And slowly.

Feel that soothing and warm golden light entering the muscles of the neck,

The back of the neck,

The sides,

The front of the neck,

The back of the neck,

The sides,

The front.

Visualize releasing tension and tightness.

Feel that shift.

That golden glow softens and relaxes all of the muscles of the neck,

Head,

And face.

You feel relaxed and at ease,

Warmed from the inside out.

Bring that golden warmth down to the top of the shoulders and into the shoulder joints.

Take a deep breath and release all of your tension,

Discomfort,

And worry.

Let that golden warm light shine down into your arms,

Into your hands.

Feel that flowing energy moving through you.

That golden light is your internal life force energy,

Your chi.

Noticing it and directing it helps you open yourself to deeper relaxation.

That relaxation relieves stress and tension,

Which helps your cells recharge and heal.

Bring your awareness back to that golden warm light and place your attention on the top of your spine.

Breathe deeply and fully and feel that golden warm glow flow down the muscles of the back and surround the vertebra and the nerves in your spine.

Feel your back and spine warming and relaxing like you're receiving a soothing energetic massage.

Feel your tightness and tension melting away.

It's replaced by ease and comfort.

Relax into this feeling.

Envision that golden glow filling your entire torso.

Your ribs,

Your heart,

Your lungs,

All of your organs are filled with this golden glow.

They're relaxing,

Easing,

Drawing strength,

Healing from your internal energy.

Let that golden warm glow flow down into your pelvis,

Legs,

And feet.

Imagine any areas of tension releasing and letting go.

As you breathe deeply and fully,

That golden warm glow soothes away all of your discomfort and pain and replaces it with warm ease and comfort.

Take a few more breaths to tune into other areas of your body where you're carrying stuckness or tightness or blocked energy.

When your internal energy does not circulate freely,

It becomes stagnant.

Stagnant energy turns into tension.

Tension turns into pain.

Bringing awareness to an area of pain helps us focus our energy there.

That energy focus brings circulation and releases stagnation,

Tension,

And pain.

Bring your awareness back to the top of your head.

In a moment,

We'll scan down the body to find a spot of tension and then we'll release a stuck energy pattern and transform stress,

Tension,

And pain back into pure vital life force energy.

So scan from the top of your head down towards your neck and the rest of your body.

Pause when you find an area of tension,

Tightness,

Or pain.

Now let's unwind and release this tightness pattern and transform stress,

Tension,

And pain back into pure vital life force energy.

When you find that area of pain or tightness,

Pause there.

Imagine that area as a block of ice.

It's hard,

Solid,

Cold,

Frozen.

Now breathe into this area and fill it with a warm with a warm golden light.

As you surround that block of ice with the warm golden light,

Feel the ice melting,

Turning into water.

Continue breathing deeply and let that area of frozen ice completely melt into a shallow pool.

Now envision that shallow pool getting warmer and warmer as it's infused with this golden warm light.

The water transforms into steam and as that steam dissipates,

It transforms into pure life force energy.

Notice how you feel as you've transformed that area of tension from that block of ice into water,

Into steam,

Into vital energy.

You can use this visualization at any time to help you transform your tension into flowing life force energy.

If you have a headache,

You can use it to transform your entire cranial area into pure vitality.

If you have chest congestion,

You can use it to open your bronchial passages.

If you have an aching knee,

You can bring ease and vitality to that joint.

You can use this idea and this visualization at any time for any area of tension in your body.

Whenever you're comfortable,

Bring this visualization to a close.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

Stretch if your body wants to.

Then peacefully open your eyes or refocus your gaze.

Carry this feeling of being calm,

Relaxed,

And comfortable in your body into the rest of your day.
