Greetings and welcome to your daily ritual to listen to your heart.
So you can sit or lie down comfortably and if you'd like to do anything to create an ambiance that helps you really tune into yourself,
Please do so now.
This might mean you light a candle or you dim down the lights or you grab your favorite cozy blanket and you wrap yourself up in it.
So creating the ambiance for your practice that allows you to tune into you and to go inward with your awareness.
And then we blink the eyes to close and we say hello to ourself.
Greeting ourselves and and feeling the breath flowing in,
Feeling the breath flowing out,
Coming home to this moment and to this beautiful vessel of our body.
And as you return to yourself take a moment to just feel how you're doing today.
And whether you would label how you're doing today as good or bad,
Can you accept exactly how you are showing up in this moment?
Can you allow yourself to fully show up and be here just as you are?
And then soften,
So just softening the shoulders down away from the ears,
Softening any tension across your forehead or around your eyes,
Softening and releasing your jaw.
And feeling your belly and let your belly take up some space and see if the breath is able to flow and move through the belly.
Feeling down into your legs and your feet,
Your arms and your hands,
Holding space for your entire self to arrive fully in this sacred moment of now.
We are conditioned as humans to be constantly in tune with our mind,
To be listening to the thoughts in our mind and to be influenced by what those thoughts are telling us from moment to moment to moment.
And while the mind is wise in its own way,
There is another source of wisdom within us that we are less conditioned to listen to and that is our heart.
And so drop into your heart in this moment,
Bring your awareness down into the space of your chest,
And you may even want to rest a hand over your sternum acknowledging this home of your heart and send the breath down into the space consciously to let your heart know that you are here and you are here to listen to whatever it may have to say to you today.
Breathing in and letting your heart receive that breath and breathing out to melt any stress or tension surrounding your heart,
Breathing out to melt away any resistance blockages,
Any walls surrounding your heart that make it difficult for you to hear the wisdom it has to share with you.
And as you're tuned in here,
First just notice the physicality of your heart.
How does your heart space feel today?
Is it tense?
Is it open?
Does your heart feel relaxed or gripping?
Sense into your heart space and acknowledge what's there.
And then opening up a deeper line of communication with your heart and simply asking your heart,
What do you have to share with me today?
I am listening.
What wisdom would you like me to know?
What information do you have to share with me that could illuminate my life and my path?
Although I may follow the lead of my mind often,
I am tuning into you now with the intention of listening to all that you have to share,
With the intention of letting your wisdom guide me in my life.
So let yourself just breathe in slowly and breathe out slowly,
Giving space for your heart to speak.
And if your heart feels quiet,
Ask a more specific question.
What do you desire?
What do you long for?
What do you want?
Your heart can provide answers to the questions that you have,
So at any time you can tune in to this place inside of you and inquire about anything and then simply lean back and allow your heart to speak to you as it wishes.
Take five more breaths for you to just be open to your heart,
Ears attuned to whatever it is that your heart may have to express to you today and know that if no messages are received in this moment,
The heart will deliver them at a later date.
As long as you are committed to tuning in and listening.
So holding your heart with gratitude,
Take three more slow breaths here,
Just breathing in,
Breathing out.
And then if your hands are not already resting over your heart space,
Let them come to rest there.
Take one last deep breath in through the nose and just sigh it out through an open mouth.
Your heart is here always,
Filled with wisdom to share with you.
Tune in frequently for the answers that you seek.
Thank you so much for joining me for this practice today.
Until next time,
Have a beautiful day.
