Well,
I think the usual identity that we have is a lie.
So the story of Kyle,
For instance,
You know,
I can really be tricked into thinking he is a comedian or he,
He was,
Or he is a speaker or even things that are true,
He's,
He's the father of his daughter,
He's these things.
But at one point I wasn't right.
And I still existed.
So that's not the highest truth of what I am.
These things exist,
But very often our identity to us is I am this character of this job,
This much money,
Or I'm this character of this victim,
I'm this character of,
You know,
Uh,
Whatever the trauma that happened to me or me overcoming it.
And it's weird because all those things don't exist in the now,
But the body can sure carry them a lot and you can defend them and grab them and,
And,
And fight for them.
I think that we have an identity with an opinion.
I think it's really weird to how many people find the other side politically as an enemy or how many people just think right now we're in a time where everyone thinks the other side is of something is so evil,
Whether it's a financial thing or gender or another race or whatever,
This is going on right now.
But what,
What you're against is another version of you because like the,
The people that you're picturing exist in your mind.
So you have a small you in your mind that's at war with another you,
Whether it's your mother-in-law or whether it's your ex or whatever.
And so,
But these all exist within you.
It's kind of like when you're dreaming,
You have characters in your dream that,
But they all exist within you.
They're in your field.
They're in your now,
Right?
So when you look at these characters,
There's a false you that's running from in the dream,
You know,
A false other person,
But they're all within you.
So,
You know,
We try to win over that thing,
But then,
Or beat that thing or be better than,
But then the small you that's still here is the one that wins.
But now you've contracted yourself to the small you when you're this,
All that is thing.
And,
You know,
One thing that people identify themselves as is their beliefs,
For instance,
Right?
Like I'm this thing and you're that thing or whatever,
But you can't be your beliefs because your beliefs change and you still exist when they do.
Right?
So I've believed opposite things.
I've believed opposite things in so many areas and existed through both of them.
So I can't be my beliefs.
I can't be my body,
Right?
Because my body has changed a ton of times.
I've had a chubby guy's body that I was really ripped.
And then right now I'm a combination of all of them.
I got kind of a gut and I'm really buff here.
And then I have really skinny legs.
They look like a pair on toothpicks when I walked down the street.
And so people look at me and they go,
Well,
First of all,
What does he do at the gym?
Is he just eating doughnuts while bicep curling and treadmilling at the same time?
But I,
You know,
You can't be your body because it changes,
Right?
And you are this constant that exists through all of it.
You can't be the body.
That's a weird thing to think that at one point we had a five-year-old's little body and then we grow up.
You can't be the body.
You must be something beyond the idea of you.
So I must be,
You know,
Something so much more eternal than the story of Kyle.
That's a false small self that,
You know,
Thinks of himself through the brain as having a beginning and an end from birth to death thing.
And that,
That false story can have so many other things that you are,
Your money,
These different things.
And then you attach to that.
And then if it goes away,
Then you go away.
Wayne Dyer mentioned that before,
But the more I do this work,
The more I'm just here and the more of those concepts,
They kind of come up and they leave and you start to go,
Oh my God,
I've never known what I am when identified and connected to the truth of what I am.
Like,
Isn't that weird?
Like this field that has billion dollar ideas and magical solutions and instant healing and will bring synchronicity and made the trees and the forests and everything.
This space here,
I would rather connect to than getting caught in the small 3D world of what's going on here and what they're saying and what this is.
But if I fill up with the space,
I can,
I can do miraculous things,
Right?
If,
Does that make sense?
So like the more you connect to it,
The more you're finding that you can do.
Everyone that talks about this go,
You can move mountains.
I don't know why that's the ultimate goal to people.
At one point,
There's an ego construct of the person that overcame his pain.
At one point,
There's a,
You know,
I'm the one that can vibrate my way out of it,
Or I'm the one that can motivate my way out of it or whatever.
And then that's who I am.
And God's like,
Nope,
Like that was necessary.
That was a,
You know,
Training wheels up and closer to me.
But I believe more and more as I do this,
There's no ability to define in words what we truly are.
It,
There's no way you could do it.
It's so beyond anything that you are.
And we don't realize something that is,
Is really the case.
We're very addicted to our problems because we're so scared of the light that we are.
We're very addicted to even our problems so we can overcome them,
Right?
Like we're,
We're addicted to like,
You know,
If you get good at vibrating your way out of a problem,
Well then that,
That role needs new problems to vibrate its way out of.
Right.
And so,
You know,
Even though there's a lot of,
Uh,
World of self-help that says,
You know,
Your story is your power and you are,
You can use your story to make whatever.
I just point out there's,
There's,
Even though there have been so many insane experiences,
The story of Kyle has experienced,
I'm none of them.
You,
Despite your Comedy Central,
New York Times,
Bestseller,
Amazing things,
All those things that,
That I am so much more than all of that.
And every person watching only the ones watching are too.
Um,
And I'm kidding for people that'll comment and be like,
He said,
But that if we would stop picking up our story,
We'd realize that almost every accomplishment we've ever made hindered actually on having the story.
Right.
Like,
So in other words,
If you,
Or the trauma meaning like,
So let's say you were bullied in high school and then you started a business to prove those bullies wrong.
Now you've made a business,
But it's out of trauma.
Right.
Now,
When you heal this trauma,
You might lose the business too,
Because it's literally built on fixing trauma.
So when we are so proud of our accomplishments,
Very often,
We don't realize the accomplishments were actually created because of trauma.
And,
And,
And a motivation out of the trauma.
So we often keep our story of our,
Our amazing thing,
But we don't realize by keeping that you're also keeping the story of the trauma.
And if you get more and more to the now you realize you have no story,
Which means the sky's the limit on what can happen,
But the more you do this work,
The more you're not even attached to what can happen.
Like,
It's funny to be like,
When you live in the now you'll be shocked at how much you manifest.
But that even that sentence still has a hint of,
Because what you manifest is the real goal.
And the truth is I just want to know what I am.
And that's what I've been studying for the last four years internally is,
Is the fascination,
Not with what I can do.
This has been the huge shift in my life.
You know,
When we meditate or we're in a space of anything,
We very often say,
I don't know what to do.
And that implies that you are a doer and that you're loved for what you do.
And that already doesn't make sense because if you're a child of God in this space,
You're loved period.
And we arbitrarily create these.
I'm loved when I achieve this,
Or when I find my purpose,
Which in my opinion is such an F you to God too.
Like to say that I exist.
Isn't enough purpose that I must be something that I've assigned some random purpose to,
To finally be something that's because you've made your parents God,
And you've made a God that looks like your dad saying you better go make something happen or whatever,
But you're really only now,
You know,
And that's it.
And then now is all encompassing of everything.
