Welcome to today's guided mindfulness meditation.
Finding yourself a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Making any final adjustments to get yourself as comfortable as possible.
And as you're closing down your eyes,
Taking a moment to acknowledge yourself for showing up for today's practice.
For showing up today.
Acknowledging that the next 10 to 15 minutes is you time.
This is time for you.
Take a long slow deep breath in,
Holding it for a moment and then slowly exhale.
Allowing any tension to melt away as you gradually relax.
Allowing yourself to relax more and more deeply with each breath.
Take another long slow deep breath in,
Hold it and then exhale.
Emptying your lungs completely with your out breath.
Take a third deep breath in,
Take your time,
Hold it for a moment and then let go.
Already you are beginning to drift into a state of deep relaxation.
Continue to breathe slowly and gently.
Relax.
Now bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Sense or imagine a feeling of relaxation beginning to spread down from the top of your scalp.
Now bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Sense or imagine a feeling of relaxation beginning to spread down from the top of your scalp.
Let the muscles in your forehead and temples relax.
Allow your eyes to relax.
Let your cheeks and your jaw soften and let go of all tension.
Now this peaceful feeling flows down your neck and deep into the muscles of your shoulders,
Soothing and releasing them.
Allow this peaceful feeling to flow through your arms,
Relaxing and soothing all the way down to the tips of your fingers.
As your body relaxes,
Your mind relaxes.
Your thoughts become weightless like wisps of clouds on the breeze.
Now the peaceful sensation flows through your chest and your stomach.
Feel how this area gently rises and falls as you breathe,
Slowly and deeply,
Soothing and relaxing.
Giving your attention to your back.
Feel this relaxing sensation flow all the way down your spine and now the peaceful feeling flows through your lower body,
Relaxing your glutes,
The back of your thighs,
The front of your thighs.
Feel all these large strong muscles becoming loose and relaxed.
Soothing feelings flow down through your knees and into your calves.
Your ankles relax and your feet relax.
Your entire body is soft,
Calm and relaxed.
Now it's time to leave the external world behind and go on an inner journey.
A journey of finding your true self.
As you keep your awareness on the breath,
Become aware of the flow of life.
Focus on your breathing as you breathe in and breathe out.
Allowing it to flow smoothly,
Breathing in from infinity and out to infinity.
Keeping your awareness on the breath as you continue to breathe.
Become aware and become one of this flow of life.
Becoming aware of your being as you breathe in from infinity and out to infinity.
As you do so,
Become aware of that place of peace within.
The place where you are most yourself,
Your center of being.
This is the real you.
Beyond the thoughts,
Beyond the dramas and the identifications of the mind.
You are not your thoughts.
You are not your emotions.
You are not the roles you play.
You are a center of pure awareness.
A center of pure being.
Journey to this center and allow yourself to become more and more present there.
As you breathe in from infinity and breathe out to infinity,
Rest your attention on the experience of being.
See if you can be more deeply.
Imagine that in this center you are light and allow that light to grow and expand with your being.
As you become more and more present,
Breathing in from infinity and out to infinity.
Becoming your infinite self.
Feel the light and the peace of this being.
Allow the light to flow through your entire body,
Bathing every organ,
Every muscle,
Every cell.
Aligning your body to its true identity.
Allow the light to expand outwards around your body as if you were glowing.
As you breathe in from infinity and breathe out to infinity,
Feel the roots of your physical being going deep into the earth,
Touching all living things with your light.
Realize how you are connected with the earth and give thanks for the life that you have.
The opportunity to be in a physical form.
This form that teaches you the wisdom of authentic living.
Celebrate your true self,
Breathing in from infinity and breathing out to infinity.
As you stay present in your center,
Experience your light radiating outwards through your locality.
Outwards across your country,
Across the world and across time and space.
Feel your connection with all things.
You are an infinite self.
When you are ready,
Coming back to your physical body.
In the present moment,
Keeping your attention on your breath and feeling yourself fully present in your body.
Gently feeling your feet on the earth,
Bringing some light movement as you awaken your fingers and your toes and perhaps inviting a light stretch into the body.
Taking a moment to acknowledge yourself for showing up for today's practice.
As you gently open your eyes to return to the day energized and revitalized.
As you return to the day with greater presence,
Greater authenticity,
Greater wisdom,
Greater peace,
Greater compassion and a greater gratitude for life.
