Hello,
Beautiful soul.
My name is Amy Dean with One Awakening,
And I will be guiding you into a compassion for your inner child meditation.
So please find a way to get comfortable and just take some nice big breaths,
Bringing awareness to your inhale and your exhale.
Just closing your eyes,
Feeling the weight of your body,
Making contact wherever you sit and noticing any sounds.
And just bringing your mind into your senses and settling back into the space around you.
Just bringing a little tension into your body as you gently scan down from head to toe.
Notice any areas of your body that feel comfortable or uncomfortable.
Just noticing overall how your body feels.
And if there is a particular mood that's hanging out in the background or the foreground right now.
No matter what is here,
Just allowing that to be.
And now just gently shift your focus to the rise and fall of your breath wherever you feel it most strongly in your body right now.
And as you become more comfortable and following that natural rhythm of your breath,
I'd like you just to imagine now that there is a steady flow of light from above your head.
It flows almost like liquid sunlight.
It's very smooth and warm.
It's clear and bright.
And it flows down like a shower,
Flowing down through the top of your head,
Into your body,
And traveling all the way down to your feet.
It's filling up your body as though it were a container for this liquid light.
Just melting away any tension,
Any discomfort.
Just following this light,
Noticing how your body feels as it melts away any negativity,
Darkness,
Or anything uncomfortable.
Just resting your mind in that space,
Letting go of any kind of focus for the moment.
Just allowing yourself to be fully present,
Knowing that you are filled with this beautiful light that's nourishing and loving and helps you connect with your highest and best self.
And now in a moment,
We will venture on an imagination journey.
And on this journey,
You will meet with your inner child.
First,
You will head to a place where you remember your inner child to be.
Maybe it's your childhood bedroom,
A playground you used to go to.
Or some other calm,
Relaxing space where you can meet with your inner child and have a conversation and connect with them.
So take your time finding that place and then heading there whenever you're ready,
Allowing the visuals to show up whenever they do.
Even when you see your inner child before you,
It might be any age,
Any timeframe of your life,
Or for some,
Their inner child switches through different ages before them.
And either way,
Just inviting this calm presence to be here with you and then knowing that you are safe,
You are loved and all is well as you make contact with this inner child.
And now asking this inner child,
If it has anything it needs you to know right now,
Maybe it's been suffering or maybe it just needs a little more love.
Maybe it has positive things to say.
And either way,
Open your ears and your heart to be available for what this part of you wants to say.
Be happy.
If at any time it feels like too much or if it's too difficult,
Just take a deep breath in,
Come back to the knowing that all is well.
And then turning to your inner child,
Letting this part of you know that you're here,
You're present,
You're available to help.
And then reaching out your hand or your heart,
Letting this inner child know that you're here to provide love and compassion for the hardships and struggles it's been through,
Or just to remind it that you're always here.
Notice what it feels like to connect with this other part of you.
Just taking the last minute or so to say whatever you might need to say or to hear whatever you need to hear from your inner child.
And now let's thank your inner child for being present,
For showing up,
And if needed,
Make a commitment to continue this dialogue or this reach out at some point in the near future.
Just bring the attention back to your body again,
Starting to feel the weight of your body wherever you sit,
Noticing any sounds around you.
Just bring yourself back to the space,
Opening your eyes whenever you're ready,
Paying attention to any changes emotionally,
Physically,
Mentally,
And taking some time to journal if you'd like.
