In this episode, we explore the chakra system as a map of awareness, energy, and inner balance. Through gentle reflection and embodied insight, you’ll be guided to sense where energy feels open, blocked, or asking for attention. This practice invites curiosity rather than fixing—supporting greater harmony, grounding, and self-connection from the root to the crown. This Day 17/30 recording is from the December 2025 30-day Mini-Meditation series on the Spiritually Fit Yoga podcast with Amelia Andaleon.

Welcome to the Spiritually Fit Yoga Podcast,

Where we explore yoga,

Meditation,

And soul wisdom for real life.

I'm your host,

Amelia Andaleon.

Take a deep breath and let's drop in.

Take a long inhale through your nose and open the mouth as I let it go.

Today we're doing a gentle,

Subtle body check-in inspired by the chakra system,

Not just as a regimen,

But as a way to sense what's happening beneath the surface.

The subtle body is the energetic layer of your being.

It's where emotions,

Intuition,

Memories,

And patterns live.

Most of us move through the day without checking in with these deeper layers,

And today we're going to pause and listen.

To go through this practice,

We're going to take a seven-point inquiry to go through the seven chakras,

Starting with the root chakra,

Which is located at the base of the spine near the tailbone.

The root chakra is associated with safety and grounding.

Bring your attention there as you breathe in and breathe out.

Stay here feeling rooted.

As you keep your attention here on the root chakra,

Ask yourself,

What helps me feel supported right now?

I'm traveling up the spine,

Noticing underneath the belly button,

The sacral chakra,

Associated with creativity and emotion.

Now as you picture where is your belly button,

Take three fingers,

Your second,

Third,

And fourth finger,

Place them just beneath the belly button,

And just underneath with the index finger touching the belly button,

That fourth finger just a little bit below,

That is the general location of your sacral chakra.

So breathing into your sacral chakra associated with creativity and emotion,

And exhale,

Releasing,

Letting go.

Ask yourself,

What am I feeling that I haven't acknowledged?

What passions am I ignoring that could use my attention?

The sacral chakra associated with creativity and the reproductive organs,

Connecting to emotions,

Connecting creativity,

What am I feeling that I have not acknowledged?

I'm traveling up the spine and in the front of the body,

Above the belly button,

Just where the lowest ribs meet the sternum.

Bring your attention there to the solar plexus.

This is associated with your power,

Consider your power center,

Your confidence,

It's your direction,

How you take action.

Breathing here into the solar plexus,

Exhaling,

Letting go.

Ask yourself,

Where do I need to reclaim my power?

You might ask,

Where am I giving my power away?

Where do I need to reclaim my power?

I'm traveling up to the heart space,

The heart space connected with love and connection.

And you might even want to place your hand on your heart,

Or maybe gently massage at that heart space.

And ask,

What needs softening?

Where can I bring compassion?

What needs softening?

Where can I let go of tension,

Let go of guarding,

Maybe letting go of any armor,

Protectionism?

What needs softening?

Where can I bring compassion?

Relax your hands,

Let them hang comfortably by your sides.

And travel your attention up to the throat,

Your throat chakra associated with expression,

Expressing your truth.

Ask yourself,

What truth wants to be spoken?

You might ask yourself,

Where have I not been completely honest?

Bring that awareness to satya,

Truthfulness.

Satya is the Sanskrit word for truthfulness.

Ask yourself,

What truth wants to be spoken?

Bring attention to the space in between your eyebrows,

Your third eye,

Which is associated with your inner wisdom,

Your clarity,

Intuition.

As you breathe in and out,

Focusing on your third eye,

Ask yourself,

What is my inner teacher saying to me today?

What is my inner wisdom telling me?

Breathing in and out,

Focusing on the third eye,

Inviting in clarity,

Awakening your intuition.

What is your inner wisdom telling you today?

Now bring your attention to the top of your head,

The crown,

The crown chakra,

The crown chakra connected to your spirit,

To connection,

Connection to a divine guide.

Something bigger than yourself.

Breathing in and out of the top of the head,

The crown chakra,

And ask yourself,

Where do I feel connected to something bigger,

To a higher purpose,

Maybe a higher power,

If that resonates with you.

Where do I feel connected to something bigger?

Bring awareness to the entire chakra system,

From your tailbone all the way up to the crown of the head,

Breathing in,

Lifting up your energy,

Lifting up all the way through every single chakra,

And sigh,

Soften,

Release,

And let go.

Breathing in,

Lifting up your energy from the tailbone up through the crown of the head,

And sigh it out,

Let it go.

This check-in isn't about diagnosing or fixing,

It's about awareness.

It's about tuning in,

Hearing yourself.

Awareness is healing all by itself.

Notice which center felt most alive or most tender today.

Just getting curious,

Just noticing through this awareness,

What can you discover about how you're doing,

How are you feeling,

What could use your attention,

What could use you letting go and releasing,

Which center felt most alive or most tender today.

Thank you for listening inward.

Your subtle body has so much wisdom.

May you practice noticing and paying attention.

See you tomorrow for our next mini meditation.

Thank you for listening to the Spiritually Fit Yoga Podcast.
