In this meditation, the listener will identify and replace limiting beliefs on love and intimacy. The listener will be encouraged to overcome feelings of fear, rejection, shame, and abandonment. The old beliefs will be replaced with feelings of safety, vulnerability, worthiness, self-acceptance, but most of all, love.

Namaste,

Welcome to this meditation to overcome fear of intimacy and love.

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.

Close your eyes if that feels safe.

Place one hand over your chest to connect in with your heart space and one hand on your belly connecting in with your intuition.

Slowly start to breathe into and out of your hands.

Take your awareness to your first memories about intimacy and love.

What messages did you receive from your family,

From your upbringing and circumstances,

From society?

Perhaps you learned that intimacy was scary,

It was dangerous,

That it was shameful.

Perhaps you learned that you were not protected and you felt unworthy,

Unloved,

And you learned that love was a one-sided sacrifice.

Maybe it's not real or maybe it's not obtainable or available for you.

Reflect on these feelings,

These memories,

In these situations without judgment.

What thoughts and feelings are arising?

Where do you feel these feelings and thoughts in your body?

What sensations arise?

Do you feel a tightness in your chest or belly?

Are you holding tension in any part of your body?

Clenching the jaw or the knees?

Clenching the fists?

What does it feel like to be vulnerable?

Do you have thoughts of rejection,

Feelings of abandonment?

Does vulnerability,

Love,

And intimacy go hand-in-hand with these feelings,

These memories,

These thoughts?

Observe without judgment,

Connecting deep into the heart space and into your intuition and your gut.

Breathing into and out of the hands.

Take these thoughts and summarize them to a few key words or one sentence,

Such as,

I'm not worthy.

I'm not protected.

I don't deserve love.

It's not available to me.

It's something only others obtain or deserve.

Now take that and decide that the opposite is true.

I'm worthy.

I deserve and can obtain love.

Love is all around me and it is available.

Love within me and love all around me.

The fact that I am sitting here doing this meditation means that I do have some love for myself already,

Even if it doesn't feel like it.

It is there and it can grow with love and care.

Love begets more love.

So take that love and hold it.

You are safe.

You are loved.

You are held.

You are protected.

You belong.

You deserve happiness.

You deserve joy.

You deserve pleasure.

You deserve intimacy and you are love.

Continuing to connect in with your heart space and your intuition,

Breathing into and out of the hands.
