Hello and welcome to a meditation.
My name is Amber Love and I appreciate you stopping here on Insight Timer.
This meditation is designed to help you feel some more confidence about yourself and maybe if you're just having a down day where you're not really able to find things that are nice to say about yourself.
So we're going to go through some affirmations and guided imagery to help get you there.
I want you to find a way to sit or lie down that's comfortable for you while you still feel like you have a supported spine and an open central channel for energy to flow,
For the blood to flow freely.
I'm never a proponent of having your limbs fall asleep while trying to meditate.
That seems counterproductive and I think it's best that you do what's right for your body and listen to those signals.
So if you are seated and have legs crisscrossed,
If at any time you feel like you need to stretch them out,
Just go ahead and do that.
If you're lying down,
Find that your head is supported enough.
Maybe you need to just lift it up and tuck your chin down and then that way when you lower your head down,
You're on the very back part of your head.
So that way your chin is not aiming really high towards the ceiling.
Have your palms facing up in an open and receiving fashion because what we're going to do today is allow these affirmations to work through you and you need to be open and receptive to hearing them.
If you're lying down,
You can have your feet relaxed or if you prefer what's called constructive rest pose,
Which is with your knees up towards the ceiling,
I suggest having your feet wider apart and then that way you can bring your thighs and your knees in towards each other.
And it takes all of the work out of having your knees up to the ceiling.
And it's also great if you experience lower back pain.
Let's begin.
We're going to go through a series of colors.
So if colors don't work for you,
I'm also going to include numbers.
I want you to close your eyes or have a soft gaze and picture that third eye point between the eyebrows.
Just out in front of that area,
Imagine a screen.
It can be like a whole immersive theater type of situation and it's your inner self.
So it can look like whatever you want.
You're going to have that screen and that environment fill with the color red or the number seven.
So if you can't picture the color red,
Just visualize the number seven.
Then imagine that red field transition to orange or the number six.
It shifts and transforms into yellow or the number five.
The yellow changes to green and the number four.
The green shifts and changes to blue or the number three.
The blue changes to indigo and the number two.
And the indigo transforms into a brilliant shade of an orchid.
Maybe some white and cream ivory speckled with beautiful gold and pink and lavender.
You are now in your complete alpha state,
Which is a perfect state of being for relaxation,
Concentration and meditation.
In that screen and environment that you're creating in your mind,
You're going to see the center of a flower that doesn't have any petals yet.
It's just the stem.
Maybe you can see the leaves on it.
Now I want you to take a good look at it.
You can reach out with your hands and feel the texture of it.
Notice the shifts in color or maybe it's lighter green or yellow or brown,
Darker green.
And then you're going to place petals one at a time into the flower center.
And it can be any kind of flower that you like.
So maybe your petals will wrap around like roses or maybe they'll be flat and circular like daisies.
Either way,
You're going to hear the affirmation and say it to yourself after I tell you some nice things that you should remind yourself about.
So let's pick the first petal.
As you place it in the center of the flower,
Say to yourself,
I am kind.
I am kind.
Then find the second petal.
I am good hearted.
Then place the third petal.
I have patience.
And place the next petal.
I am nurturing.
Then take the next petal.
I am compassionate.
And take the next petal.
I am generous.
And reach for the next petal.
I care.
Take the next petal.
I want peace for myself and for the world.
Take the next petal.
My actions will reflect my wishes.
Take the next petal.
My thoughts will reflect my wishes.
And take the next petal and place it in the center of the flower.
My words will reflect my wishes.
I am confident.
I am active within my abilities.
I have much to offer.
I am enough.
Take a look at the flower you've created.
Hold it in the hands that you have in your environment and turn it around.
Take a good look.
Feel the textures.
Smell it and see if you can actually get the aroma of your flower to travel through into your system and through your brain.
Enjoy this flower and know that it's there whenever you need it.
You can close your eyes and recall it as you need to remind yourself of all that you have to offer.
Allow yourself to come out of your state of alpha slowly and mindfully.
Moving your fingers and toes,
Maybe turning your head from side to side.
If you're lying down,
Pulling your knees up into your chest.
Carefully taking a seated position.
Having your gaze slowly start down at the floor as you flutter your eyes open and welcome yourself back to the world.
Namaste.
