My name is Amber Love.

Welcome to this guided meditation to take a journey through layers of the body,

From the physical to the subtle or energetic.

In yoga,

These are called koshas.

Your tradition might call them something else.

Find yourself in a comfortable position lying down,

Perhaps with your knees on a rolled blanket.

Begin finding your breath.

Noticing the inhale and the exhale,

And simply be aware of your whole body,

Where you are right now in the moment.

Bring awareness and notice the outermost layer of your physical body.

Notice the temperature against your skin.

Feel the floor beneath you.

Allow yourself to be fully supported.

Start to notice the muscles underneath the skin.

Feel for any tension around your forehead,

Around your eyes,

Maybe loosen your lower jaw,

Separating the teeth.

If there's any tension in your neck,

You might need to rotate it from side to side just to find a more comfortable posture.

Allow your shoulders to soften and melt.

Feel the weight of your arms.

Feel the whole back of the body supported by what's beneath you.

Notice if there's any tension along the buttocks,

Those gluteal muscles.

And breathe into that space and simply let go.

Feel the muscles around your hips,

Your thighs,

Your hips,

Your thighs,

Soften the knees,

Let the knees float.

Let the feet simply fall open on natural position.

Feel the bones of the body.

Feel all the joints,

The many joints of the toes and the feet,

The ankles.

Feel the joints of the knees,

The hips,

All of the articulation through the rib cage,

The spine,

All through the arms and the fingers.

Bring awareness now to the energy of your breath,

The prana energy.

Feel how you can breathe all the way down from the feet,

Filling up the legs,

Spiraling through that pelvic bowl,

Energizing through the chakras,

Moving up that central channel,

Right around the spine,

Through all of the organs,

Expanding the belly,

Letting the rib cage expand out to the sides and out the front and back.

Feel the inhale moving all the way from that bottom of the body up through the top of the body,

Extending down the arms and even circulating through the head.

Let the exhale release from the crown of your head.

Notice if any thoughts start to enter your mind and know that it's perfectly natural.

As we address the mind-body,

We listen for emotions,

Have our inner selves in tune with them,

Welcoming the emotions,

Utilizing this time of restoration to process,

Knowing that we are made of millions of thoughts and there's not a single thought that defines us.

The only thing you have to do here is acknowledge the thoughts and keep yourself from obsessing on one.

Move deeper still,

Finding your intuition,

Your inner wisdom.

Take this opportunity to ask yourself questions.

If there's a situation that you had awareness of from your thoughts and emotions,

Now ask yourself,

What actions can I take to resolve this situation?

Or maybe it doesn't need a resolution.

Maybe there's something just to digest.

Allow yourself to move deeper and deeper and bring yourself to the Anandamaya,

The bliss body.

This is the area where we can find love and joy,

Contentment and happiness.

This is where you can find your true self.

Perhaps you can start to envision what that true self is,

Simply for reference.

Can you identify a shape,

Colors,

Vibrations,

Fragrances,

Sounds or textures?

What components make up something that you can identify as your true self so that when you return and visit this place,

This deep inner layer of your consciousness,

You have something to address.

Continue your search,

Looking through for your deepest level of consciousness,

Finding pure energy,

Feeling the whole universe as part of yourself.

Allow yourself this time to regenerate,

Letting all of the cellular levels come back to life,

Move through their cycles and allow them to be surrounded by universal light.

Enjoy the peace and the tranquility of your bliss body,

The Anandamaya.

Acknowledge that vision you had of your true self.

Think it and think yourself in all aspects of you for the time that you're giving it.

Allow yourself to float back through to the layer of your intuition and inner wisdom.

Know that this place is somewhere that you can reach during your meditation practice.

Begin to shift yourself back to the mind,

The emotions and the thoughts.

Understand and welcome that monkey mind,

That busy,

Always thinking mind,

And know that it's a natural state.

And if you can find even moments of simple peace between those thoughts,

Then you're accomplishing all that you need to do in a meditation.

As thoughts enter now,

Simply address them as this is a happy thought,

Or this is a welcome thought,

Or perhaps this is an unwelcome thought.

And knowing that your body,

Your mind and your heart have to process all of the emotions that you experience.

You've begun that journey now,

And you can take the steps with you later.

Find your breath.

Begin to notice your inhale and your exhale.

Maybe counting will help.

You can count up to four on the inhale and then see if the exhale is the same or longer.

And simply let it be.

It's the energy pulling into you,

And the toxins and whatever no longer serves you,

Leaving the body.

Fill yourself up completely with that nourishing fresh air.

Fill up every space that you can.

And express it out.

Begin to feel the revitalization of the prana or chi.

Feel the heaviness of the body.

Bringing attention to all the bones from the top of your head,

Down your spine,

Through your ribs,

Down each arm into your fingers.

Feeling around the pelvis.

Noticing the legs,

The knees,

The lower legs,

The ankles,

And the feet.

Feel the muscles that encompass all of those bones and joints.

And as you breathe,

You fill up all of the space,

Wrapping around every fiber,

Every cell.

Feel the coolness of the air on your inhale and the warmth of your exhale.

Notice the lightness of your body.

As if you're floating.

Your skin is surrounded by the air.

Become aware of any changes in temperature.

There might be spots of the body that are warm,

Maybe tingling.

Maybe other spots that are cold.

Feel that sense of awakening.

Begin to slowly move gently through the toes and through the fingers.

As you return to this physical body and your physical self,

Turning your head from side to side if that's comfortable.

Perhaps you want to bend your knees and swing them from side to side or bring them into the chest and rock gently.

Allow yourself to slowly awaken,

Feeling refreshed,

Regenerated,

Filled with the energy of life.

As you welcome yourself back to your space into your present time,

I welcome you back also.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your practice.

Namaste.
