This guided practice is designed to help you prepare for your next fight. This visualization meditation starts with a guided breathing exercise to help control your heart rate variability. Smooth and consistent breathing can help you control a steady HRV, as your physiology underpins emotional states, feelings, and performance. After this breathing exercise, we will go through a body scan to help you soften and relax tight muscles. The main element of this meditation practice is a visualization of your success. Visualizing everything from the moment you wrap your hands, to the minute you walk into the ring and win the fight. It's all about mental rehearsal and this meditation practice helps you do just that! The more you rehearse in your mind, the more clearly you will attract into your future what you desire.

Hi and welcome to this guided pre-fight meditation.

This guided practice is designed to help you get into an optimal state in preparation for your upcoming fight.

This meditation can help you focus on consistent and smooth breathing as well as let go of muscular tension.

Then we will visualize your success.

You can listen to this months or weeks before your fight.

You can listen to it on fight day or just before your fight.

You can listen to this meditation as often as you like as mental rehearsal is a very powerful tool for success,

Helping you get closer to where you want to be in life.

So let's begin by getting into a comfortable position,

In a place where you will not be interrupted for the next little while.

Make any adjustments as you need,

Making sure you're super comfortable here.

Good,

Now let go of any wiggles or the urge to move and see if you can bring all your awareness to the breath.

Perhaps as you inhale,

Stretch the spine a little taller and as you exhale,

Let everything relax,

That's it.

Soften your shoulders,

Relax your jaw,

Soften all the muscles around your eyes.

Breathing deeply helps to relax the body and the mind and the breath gives you an anchor to hold onto during your practice.

So now together,

Let's do a few consistent breath cycles to keep our heart rate more consistent.

Here we go,

Let's breathe in 2,

3,

4,

Breathe out 2,

3,

4,

Breathe in 2,

3,

4 and out 2,

3,

4,

Breathe in 2,

3,

4 and out 2,

3,

4,

That's it.

Keep going for a few more breath cycles,

Excellent work,

That was really good.

Now let your breath return to a natural rhythm without forcing anything,

Allow yourself to observe the breath as it naturally flows in and out of the body.

Now shift your awareness from the breath to the body,

Starting at the top of the head,

See if there is any tension that can be softened,

Perhaps you feel a deep sense of calm coming over you,

Just feeling all muscles go slack,

Relaxing your head,

Relaxing your neck,

Relaxing the top of the spine,

Softening every muscle in the face.

See if you can be completely expressionless,

Letting the cheeks go slack,

Really relaxing the lips and the tongue,

Now feel your torso soften and relax,

Your shoulders are becoming heavy,

Feel the length of your arms,

The sensations of your hands as they rest in your lap,

Relaxing your belly,

Your hips,

Glutes,

Upper legs,

Lower legs,

Relaxing every muscle in your feet and feel how heavy the body feels right now,

Soak up this sensation of deep relaxation,

Feel gravity pulling you down and feel the sensation of the surface beneath you,

You are safe,

You are completely supported.

Now I want you to tune into your third eye,

Which is located between your eyebrows,

Just at the top of your nose.

Now visualize yourself in a cinema,

As if you are watching a movie through your third eye,

And in this movie that you are watching,

You are seeing yourself,

And you can see yourself performing at your very best,

You see yourself as you are preparing for your fight,

As you are backstage getting your hands wrapped,

You have your support crew around you,

You are feeling fantastic,

You are focused,

Calm,

Collected and very positive,

As your hands are wrapped,

You are putting your gloves on and then it's time to walk out,

As you make your way from the change room to center stage,

You are starting to feel very excited,

Yet you are so calm,

So cool and collected,

Your eyes are on the prize,

You are so focused,

And as you make your way to the stage,

You hear the crowd roaring,

As you first lay eyes on the ring,

You are just feeling pumped,

Then you walk to the ring,

Going up the stairs,

Stepping onto the stage in the boxing ring,

You are walking around,

Feeling the canvas beneath your feet,

Hearing the crowd roar in the background,

As your coach offers you a last sip of water,

You take off your robe,

And before long,

It's fight time,

As the bell goes,

You lock eyes with your opponent,

You are so focused,

You are seeing yourself throwing the punches,

You feel the weight of the gloves on your hands,

You are imagining every detail of it,

You feel how your body moves,

How your hands are moving,

How you are ducking and weaving,

Dancing around your opponent,

You are seeing the combinations you are putting together,

Feeling your feet move,

Feeling your breath,

Consistent and controlled,

You feel the expressions on your face,

Perhaps a few drops of sweat on your skin,

As you see yourself successfully moving through all your boxing rounds with positivity and success,

You see that you are coming to the last round,

And you are feeling euphoric,

Your game plan works out exactly as you had imagined it to be,

And ding ding ding,

That is the end of your fight,

You know you have won this one,

You have given it your all,

The winner is announced,

You have won this fight,

Congratulations,

But this comes as no surprise to you,

Because you have put in weeks and weeks of hard work,

You have been manifesting this outcome,

You have been thinking about it every single day,

Working hard to achieve your goal,

Now take a moment to soak up this image of success and victory,

Again seeing every vivid detail,

Hearing the sounds around you,

And feeling the feelings that you would feel as if you were really there,

Now when you are ready,

You walk back out of this movie screen that is showing the picture of you performing perfectly,

Visualize that you are returning to your seat in the theater,

You reach out and grab the screen as it shrinks down to the size of a cracker,

Then you bring this miniature screen up to your mouth,

Chew it up and swallow it,

Imagine that every tiny piece,

Just like a hologram,

Contains the full picture of you performing perfectly,

Imagine all these little screens traveling down into your stomach and through your bloodstream into every cell of your body,

Then imagine that every cell of your body is lit up with a movie of you performing perfectly,

It's like one of those appliance store windows where 50 TVs are all tuned to the same channel,

Gently bringing the awareness back to your fingers,

Your toes,

Giving them a gentle wiggle,

And then when you feel ready,

In your own time,

You can open your eyes and greet this moment with a smile.
