This practice is all about taking a few minutes to yourself after your workout to help you unwind,
Relax and refocus for the day ahead.
Take a comfortable seat,
Sit up tall and if it feels good for you let the eyes close softly.
Just allow yourself to breathe naturally and see if you just can observe the breath.
Good,
Soften your forehead,
Loosen your jaw and give yourself permission to do nothing just for this short moment and as you embrace this moment of stillness just watch the breath with an easy,
Relaxed and open mind.
Now shift your attention to what else the mind or body is feeling.
Perhaps you feel sweat dripping down your back or maybe you feel your heart pounding in your chest or maybe you notice thoughts running through your mind thinking about what to do next,
What hasn't been done.
Just notice it,
Acknowledge the pull of movement and distraction and then with the loving patience of a compassionate elder give your mind permission to rest.
Now that you are settled in,
Let's focus on generating some positive feelings and sensations.
Go ahead and think of one positive thing that occurred during your workout or as a result of your workout.
Maybe you feel that stress has been relieved,
Maybe you just feel better overall or maybe you just hit a personal best or personal record,
Whatever it is.
Really hold this positive feeling inside your body and embrace the sensations of positivity.
Notice what feelings are present in your body and your mind when you think of this positive thing,
Really see if you can absorb all those feelings and feel it permeate throughout your entire body.
Now as you are preparing yourself to close this meditation,
I want you to take this positive uplifting feeling with you throughout your day today and spread it around you,
Sharing it with those who need it.
Now gently wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes and blink your eyes open.
Thank you for listening.
Have a wonderful day.
