Hi,
Good morning.
Let all your awareness rest on the breath.
Allow the muscles of the face to soften completely.
Letting go of any expressions that you might be holding without even knowing it.
Consciously relaxing those tiny little muscles around your eyes.
Softening that space between the brows.
Then bringing the awareness to all those little muscles around your mouth and lips.
And see if you can deliberately relax the mouth and let the lips be soft.
Relaxing your jaw.
Softening the tongue and just let it rest in the base of the mouth.
Now embrace this feeling of your face being completely expressionless.
Now as you inhale,
Stretch the spine a little taller.
And as you slowly exhale,
Let gravity do its work.
Letting your entire body relax.
Letting it sink deeper down into the earth.
As you inhale,
Notice how the belly expands.
And as you exhale,
Feel the belly and the rib cage gently contracting.
With each breath,
You feel yourself relaxing a little more.
Becoming a little bit more grounded with each exhale.
Now take a deep,
Deliberate breath in through the nose.
And as you exhale,
Let your shoulders slide back down into the earth.
And notice how your heart opens up as you relax the shoulders.
Take a moment here to feel your heart space.
And let your body be filled with loving energy.
If you like,
You can place your hands on your heart space.
The space in the middle of your chest.
Really notice how your heart is beating in your chest.
Can you feel the rhythm of your heart?
As it pumps blood,
Each chamber opening and closing in an effortless way.
And for a moment,
Think about what a miracle life is.
And how amazing it is that our body functions without us even thinking about it.
It just happens.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Open your eyes if they were closed.
And welcome back to this present moment.
