Hi and welcome to this post-workout mindfulness meditation.

After your workout,

It is essential to take a moment for yourself,

To release any remaining tension and to recharge for the day or night ahead.

So go on,

Find a comfortable posture.

You can be seated or lying down.

If it feels good for you,

You can softly close your eyes.

Then allow your body to become still.

Tuning into the breath.

Just allow the breath to flow naturally.

Simply observing as each breath enters and leaves your body.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Soften your forehead.

Release the tension between your brows.

Let your jaw be soft and relaxed.

And see if you can give yourself permission to just do nothing just for this moment.

Simply to be present.

Now,

As you embrace this moment of stillness,

Be aware of any thoughts or sensations that may arise.

You might notice thoughts passing through your mind or the sensation of sweat dripping down your skin.

Or perhaps you feel the gentle rhythm of your heartbeat.

Now just acknowledge these sensations and thoughts without judgment.

You can say something like,

Oh yes,

I can feel sweat dripping down my back.

Now,

If you feel that your mind starts to wander,

Allow yourself to really settle the mind with a loving and patient approach.

Just as you would with a puppy,

Guide your mind towards stillness without forcing anything and with lots of love and patience.

Allow the mind to settle.

Just be at peace and find your stillness by redirecting your awareness to the body and the breath.

Now,

As you have just finished your workout,

See if you can embrace the positive sensations in your body and in your mind that this workout has generated.

Notice the energy,

Vitality,

And positivity flowing within you.

Allow these feelings to permeate your entire being.

Now,

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Carry this uplifting positivity with you throughout your day.

Let these feelings radiate from you,

Sharing the brightness with those who may need it.

Gently bring your awareness back to where you are.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes,

And when you are ready,

Open up your eyes.

Thank you for taking this time for yourself.

Carry the energy and positivity you have cultivated into your day and share it with the world.

And remember,

As the ancient saying goes,

Mens sana in corpora sano,

A healthy mind in a healthy body.

Your workout has nurtured your body,

And this meditation has nurtured your mind.

A healthy mind in a healthy body.

Your workout has nurtured your body,

And this meditation has nurtured your mind.

By combining the two,

You optimize your well-being and enhance your health and wellness journey.

Enjoy the wonderful benefits that mindful post-workout recovery brings into your life.

Thank you again,

And have a great day or night ahead.
