Hey there,
I'm Amanda and I am the face of Ananda Amanda and Juma Health and Yoga,
And I thought I'd just jump on here.
We've just had a class here this morning and I thought I'd do a little bit of a Libra New Moon relaxation type of practice.
So you could be seated in a chair,
You could be laying down,
Relaxing,
You could be standing up,
You could be sitting on a bus if you wanted to.
So just take a moment to find a comfortable seat or a comfortable space in which to receive it.
You could be laying on your bed or your couch,
Whatever you like.
So wherever you are right now,
Take a moment to sense the world around you with your gaze and then consciously begin to withdraw into your inner world by closing your eyes down.
Feel and experience the breath flowing through you naturally.
There's nothing at all that you need to change.
And sense support beneath you by the way of the bed,
The chair,
The bus seat,
The ground.
And for a moment scan the soles of your feet and let them soften.
Feel the palms of the hands releasing and let your attention move inside your mouth.
Letting your tongue release and soften inside your mouth.
And a couple more easy smooth breaths.
Letting the breath be.
And the next time you exhale let your attention move all the way down to your two feet.
Noticing your two feet and receiving those two feet in your awareness at the same time.
And maybe the pendulum of your awareness moves a little side to side and consciously bring in the scales,
The librid scales,
As you consciously receive both of your feet at exactly the same time.
Let your feet soften and release easily.
And then bring your attention to your two legs,
Your lower legs,
Your upper legs,
Your knees,
Your feet.
Let the pendulum of your awareness swing a little side to side and then bring the scales in.
And sense receiving both legs,
Both feet easily.
Sense your awareness coming to a center point as you feel what is here,
Right here in this moment.
Letting the legs rest down,
Letting the feet re-soften and then moving your spotlight of awareness to your buttocks,
Your outer hips,
Your inner groins,
Your pelvis.
Sense the pendulum moving,
Simultaneously receiving both sides of the pelvis,
Both buttocks,
Hips and groins.
And letting the pelvis rest down into ground along with the legs and the feet and moving your spotlight to your hands.
Pendulum swinging just a tad side to side and then settling on those two scales,
Those two hands,
Receiving both simultaneously and then letting your hands rest wherever they are,
In bed,
On your lap,
On the ground.
Letting your attention move up to your arms,
Your forearms,
Your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Include your hands.
Mmm,
Receiving,
Penduluming and then let the scales come in and balance your awareness between your two arms and your two hands.
And now let those arms and hands and all of your little fingers or your fingers,
Let them relax,
Moving your attention to your torso now,
Your belly and your chest,
Your lower,
Middle and upper back,
The whole torso.
Sense the pendulum moving left to right,
Front and back and then sense the scales moving in and receive your torso,
Front and back,
Right and left,
All at the same time.
Let your torso rest down and move your attention to your head,
Your face,
Your throat and your neck,
Front and back,
Left and right,
Pendulum swings,
Scales balance.
Receive your whole head,
The features of your face,
Your ears,
Your eyes,
Your nostrils,
Your lips,
The right side of your head and left,
Your forehead and the back of your head.
Feel the four corners of your throat and neck,
Receiving,
Balanced awareness,
Resting your head and throat now and spreading your awareness to this whole entire physical body,
Subtly dropping into the energetic field within.
Feel your way to just behind the sternum and sense here what is most true for you in this moment.
Trust the moon,
Trust your intention,
Trust your truth.
As Michael Leunig says,
Let it go,
Let it unravel,
Let it be a path on which to travel.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Giving great thanks to the phases of the moon,
The phases and cycles of life and to this body in this moment.
You might like to move,
But you don't have to.
Wherever you are at,
Maybe softly bring your hands into the heart or onto the heart.
Have a beautiful day or night,
Wherever you are.
Thank you for being here.
Namaste.
