Hi,
My name is Brianna of Always Be Healing.
I'm an energy worker,
Doula,
And yoga guide.
Today I'll be guiding you through a short pranayama or breathing exercise intended to help you balance,
Release physical and emotional tension in your body,
And allow energy or prana to flow more freely.
Before we get started,
Take a few moments to make yourself comfortable.
This breath work can be practiced while sitting in a meditation position or while sitting in a chair.
If you have a favorite essential oil or scent,
Place a few drops on your palms or wrists and rub them together.
Close your eyes and gently cup your hands over your nose and inhale deeply.
Allow this scent to transport you to a place of peace and tranquility.
Let your hands fall away and rest them softly on your thighs.
Shake your elbows a few times to relax the shoulders and open your mouth really wide as if you're screaming.
Now close your mouth and inhale through your nose for one,
Two,
Three,
And then exhale through your nose for three,
Two,
One.
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Pause,
And exhale for three,
Two,
One.
Last round,
Taking the deepest breaths that you've taken this far today for one,
Two,
Three,
Hold,
And exhale through your nose for three,
Two,
And one.
Begin to tune into your physical vessel.
Notice any places that feel tight or tense,
But also notice the places that feel really open and spacious.
Remain a witness and resist any instincts to change or alter what you notice in your body.
Now begin to notice how it feels to be you in this very moment,
Not giving in to thoughts of judgment or shifting,
Just becoming aware of your current inner landscape.
Now take your right index and pointer finger and place them both over your third eye,
The space in between your eyebrows.
Rest your thumb over your right nostril and let your ring finger hover over your left nostril.
Press down on your right nostril and inhale through your left.
Release the right nostril,
Press down on the left,
And exhale.
Inhale right,
Exhale left nostril.
Inhale left,
Exhale right nostril.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale left.
Inhale left,
Exhale right.
Inhale right,
Exhale right.
If not,
That's perfectly okay.
Do you feel more calm?
More centered?
We'll close our practice today by placing the palms together at your heart center and bowing down to your true teacher,
Yourself,
For taking a moment,
Just a few moments for you.
Ase.
And don't forget to drink your motherfucking water.
