Welcome to this mindful morning moments journaling session that allows you the space to reflect and increase self-compassion.
During these journaling sessions,
I will give space between each prompt to allow you the time to write down your thoughts.
If you need more time with a particular prompt,
I encourage you to pause the track and continue when you are ready.
Now find a quiet,
Comfy spot,
It can be inside or outdoors,
And grab a notepad and writing utensil and we'll get started.
I invite you to close your eyes and take a deep breath as you settle into this space and place your hands on your heart and set an intention before we begin writing to be open and kind to yourself this morning.
Now I would like you to spend some time thinking about a time that you might have been a little bit hard on yourself.
This could be something that has happened recently or something from the past that you still carry feelings of shame,
Guilt,
Or regret around.
If you had a friend going through this exact same thing,
What might you say to them?
Take a moment to write a short letter of support to your dear friend that is actually yourself offering comfort and compassion.
Now I want you to think about three things that you love about yourself.
These can be traits or qualities that you hold,
Maybe you're a great friend,
Or you have a great sense of humor,
Or maybe you're an amazing parent.
These can also be accomplishments or challenges that you are proud to have overcome in your life.
Take a moment to write down three things about yourself that you love.
Finally this morning,
I invite you to write down three positive affirmations for you to carry with you throughout your day.
Think about what you might need a little bit more of right now.
Consider the words you wrote down in your letter of support to your friend that was yourself earlier.
You can write this as an I am statement.
I am enough.
I am worthy.
I am kind.
I am loved.
I am beautiful inside and out.
Whatever messages are most important for you to hear at this point in your life,
Take some time to write down these three positive affirmations now.
