Welcome to this 10 minute guided meditation.
Prepare for this practice by giving yourself the permission to let go.
During this breathing meditation you will focus on your breath.
This will calm your mind and relax your body.
There is no right or wrong way to meditate.
Whatever you experience during this breathing meditation is right for you.
Don't try to make anything happen,
Just observe.
Get yourself into a comfortable position for meditation.
Sitting or lying down and make sure you are warm.
Close your eyes.
Begin with focusing your awareness on your breath.
Feel your connection between your body and the earth.
Body is completely relaxed,
Dissolving anything that no longer serves you.
Soften the face,
The neck and throat.
Sink the shoulders into the earth and allow the earth to support the weight of your body.
Relax the arms all the way to the hands and fingertips.
Rib cage relaxes.
Belly softens as it feels like a balloon with each breath.
Relax the hips and thighs,
Calves and feet relax.
Soles of the feet relax.
Toes relax.
Experience a sense of complete stillness now in this moment where life truly resides.
Inhale through the nose and exhale out of the nose.
Become aware of your breath as it fills the lungs continuing to breathe through your nose allowing the belly to rise and fall.
Notice the sounds around you and accept them as part of your practice today.
Monitor your breathing and let it guide you to a sacred space somewhere.
Somewhere between wake and sleep where we connect with our higher truth.
Inhale deeply through the nose and exhale out of the nose completely.
See in your mind's eye your breath flowing gently in and out of your body.
Continue to breathe deeply.
Relax each part of your body empowering the body's natural healing process to occur.
Feel each part of the body from the toes to the crown of the head become heavy.
Surrender into the hips and to the will of life.
Your body will continue to relax as you meditate.
Observe your breathing.
Notice how your breath flows in and out.
Make no effort to change your breathing in any way.
Simply notice how your body breathes.
Your body knows how much air it needs.
When your attention wonders as it will just focus back again on your breathing.
Notice any stray thoughts but don't dwell on them.
Simply let the thoughts pass.
See how your breath continues to flow deeply,
Calmly.
Notice the stages of a complete breath and the in-breath.
To the pause that follows.
The exhale and the pause before taking another breath.
As you notice the space between the breaths allow your mind to become still.
Notice the space between your thoughts.
Feel the air entering through your nose.
Picture the breath flowing through the cavities in your sinuses and then down to your lungs.
Notice the temperature of the breath.
As thoughts intrude allow them to pass and return your attention to your breathing.
Inhale,
Create a sense of inner stillness and calm.
Exhale.
This is a time to keep your awareness in the present.
Keep this rhythmic breathing flowing and scan your entire body for remaining tension and use the breath to breathe it away.
Paving the way for stillness.
And here in this sheer silence just be.
Notice how the space inside your lungs becomes smaller after you exhale and the air leaves your body.
Feel your chest and stomach gently rise and fall with each breath.
Whole body sinking into the earth beneath you.
Belly rising and falling.
A sense of clarity is coming to you now if you are willing to embrace it.
Let any distractions come and go without attaching yourself to them.
Feel in your heart an eternal glow.
The glow of love and graciously accept all that comes.
As you lay here imagine a wave of water wash over you.
Carrying away anything that no longer serves you.
Washing away old habits,
Tensions,
Stories and negativity.
Imagine yourself on a beautiful beach.
Breathe in and sense a new wave come over you.
Bringing in whatever your heart and soul desires in this moment.
Breathe out.
Wave washes over you.
The salty sea breeze is warm against your skin.
But the sun has just begun to retreat into the horizon.
As the waves roll in and out take a deep breath in and let it out.
Body light and relaxed.
Almost as though you are floating.
Far,
Far from here.
In a place perhaps familiar to you or a place quite foreign.
Either way start to notice the water around you.
Feel the temperature of the water as it washes over you.
Feel it lap against your ears.
Notice any other sounds around you.
Sounds of nature,
Of birds,
Of trees.
Notice and accept.
Continue to breathe and float confidently.
Remember that you are an eternal spirit.
Allow love to guide you.
It will bring balance into your life.
As your mind is open you will be able to connect with your spirit and reconnect with the truth and purpose of your life.
Keep an open mind and heart.
You will soon start to see your life from a higher perspective and you will find that you have adequate time for all in your life.
Including taking regular time to rest.
Life is an ocean of eternity.
Time,
An illusion only existing in the mind.
Cast away all concerned.
Come and rest in the eternal light.
As you float you release all tensions from the body as you experience a sense of peace,
Calm and serenity.
Awaken the child within you and remind yourself of the beautiful and simple things in your life.
Honor the child by doing more of what brings joy into your life.
Now take a deep breath in and let it out.
Take another deep breath in and let it out.
Remember you can bring yourself back to the beach anytime to recharge your mind and body.
Notice now how your body feels.
See how calm and gentle your breathing is.
How relaxed your body feels.
Now it is time to gently reawaken your body and mind.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Notice the sounds around you.
Feel the earth beneath you.
Feel your clothes against your body.
Gently start to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Shrug your shoulders.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes to discover the new,
Refreshed you.
Straighten out your legs and stretch your arms and legs gently.
Sit for a few more moments.
Enjoy how relaxed you feel.
Experiencing your body reawaken and your mind returning to its usual level of alertness.
Continue with the rest of your day feeling reenergized.
