So today I want to share with you a small morning routine that I do every single day no matter what.
It's very short,
It's very sweet and it's very gentle but it's also very powerful.
As a working mom I don't have much time for myself at the moment in the morning because I want to do so much and I have made the decisions that even though I can't do my one hour yoga sessions every day or twice a week at the moment I just can't find the time I just don't prioritize it at least I prioritize the way I wake up and the way I set the day for myself.
This is what matters the most for me is waking up in a good mood getting energized and pumped up and that is really helping me moving forward feeling more in control feeling more powerful and also in order to program my mind that I can do and I can be successful I can do whatever I want.
It is a simple way for me to just wake up so I really wanted to share that with you hoping that you get something out of it you can create your own short routine if you don't have time if you don't want to make time longer time for yourself in the morning at least do this five ten minutes routine no matter what you choose to take five minutes as you wake up to do it.
For me most of the time the kids are already around but I do it it doesn't require much space I do it by my bedside and that's all that matters.
The kids can be here they used to do it and sometimes my my eldest one my toddler is playing along and doing the stretches with me which is quite fun actually.
So as I wake up I sit by the side of my bed and I just started with neck rolls shoulder rolls and wrist rolls just starting the day gently and not you know straight straight to doing something.
So you just take this couple seconds to sit by the bed wake the body up and get the neck and the shoulders rolling it doesn't have to take long just a few seconds to a minute keep the eyes closed and just focus on the sensation and the willingness to kind of get all that tightness away and all that that stillness you know like a full night's sleep the body needs to wake up gently.
And then I just stand up and do some breath work with arms movement arms legs head movement just following my breath up and down just to get a nice flow of fresh air in my lungs deep long breath in and out and I just smile even if it doesn't feel like I want to smile I force myself to smile and actually it changes the it changes the hormones it changes the way I feel immediately it just doesn't have to be effective it's just a smile to change the hormones to change the energy just try it and see for yourself smiling is super super effective super good.
So you breath in and out you just do some movement and then you let your body tell you what it needs so for me it is just hip rolls stretches on off sides then I can do some cat cows on the ground I can do some hip rolls whatever feels right you know if you do a bit of yoga you just do what feels right and you gently gently wake up every part of your body.
So after a few minutes then that's where I started to move the body and increase my heart rate just this is giving me energy this is warming me up and actually it gives me a lot of strength to continue the day or to start the day off right right so you just do some tiptoes you just do some running on the spot you can lift your knees one after the other and then you know you can dance a little bit of you know what's the word like rock and roll and you know whatever feels right just let your body nobody sees you nobody cares you just let your body speak and move and have fun and like I said if you have the kids around they're going to enjoy joining you so that's even a bonus and then and then I always finish with a little bit of strengthening exercises so I do some squats and planks at the moment that's all I do and I will build this up as I go but I really first want to get this routine anchored and becoming a new habit that I don't even think about it doing it you know it has I have choose to really do it every day no matter what it's only five ten minutes when you wake up you have time the day there's plenty time to start the day and get stuff done so just take this five ten minutes for yourself in the morning and now I'm gonna just recite the I choose affirmation that are working for me that are resonating the most for me and I hope you get inspired and for you to create your own just record your own I choose affirmation and the affirmation that come to your head record them and listen to them every morning every evening every day whenever it feels right but just listen to them every day and we start getting into your head and becoming you becoming true becoming more a part of you so just give yourself time and grace to believe you can have it all to believe you choose everything in your life so let's get started I choose to be successful I choose to stay focused I choose to trust the universe I choose to believe I am where I am where I am meant to be I choose to make things easy I choose to have fun I choose to look after myself I choose to prioritize my well-being I choose to prioritize what really matters I choose to focus on what will take me forward I choose to be perfect I choose to stay in my power I choose to take messy actions I choose to be curious I choose to ask for help I choose to learn and grow I choose to stay focused I choose to stay in my power I choose to stay calm and in control I choose to be magical I choose to trust myself I choose to believe in the abundance of possibilities I choose to keep my options open I choose to focus on making this day great wishing you all a very very good day a very very good 2022 it's going to be amazing if you choose it to be.
