Alright,
Well,
This is,
Um,
It's great to have you.
It's totally a time for you,
Yeah.
And just really do,
Do what you need to do.
I'll be guiding the breath work in rounds.
And I'll be setting the pace.
But if you need a different pace,
It's totally fine.
Just trust your body.
As I'm sure you know,
You can do this seated or lying down.
Um,
Whatever is comfy.
If your body needs to move or make sound,
It's all good.
So I'm just going to take a moment and play my flute for a couple of minutes.
And just let the sounds continue to take us down and in.
And as I play and as you listen,
Just notice your body.
Just give thanks for this gift of breath.
This amazing process that's always happening whether you're aware of it or not.
And as I play my flute,
Imagine your body as a flute.
And imagine life playing you with breath.
And with sound.
And with feeling.
So just feeling into the body.
Relaxing across the forehead,
Behind the eyes.
Letting the cheeks and the jaw and the tongue release.
And letting the muscles in and around the ears open to become receptive.
And letting that softness and that receptivity draw your awareness down into your throat.
Feeling the back of your neck.
And then on your next inhale,
Drawing space into the upper chest and the shoulders.
Using that exhale as a powerful way of releasing tension.
Softening.
Taking the next breath into the heart to the middle of the chest.
And using the sweetness of your exhale to keep reminding your body that you are mostly space.
You're made of water and space.
And then allowing that breath to sink down into the belly.
Breathing into the hips.
And then take four deep breaths in and then we'll take the fifth one in and hold it.
Lift up the base of the pelvis.
Press your lower belly towards your spine.
Draw that energy into the upper chest and up into the mind.
And so just taking a moment to feel into what you need from your breath practice today.
Is there an intention that you feel in touch with?
Or how and why you would like to breathe today?
And if there's nothing there,
Just surrender into your heart.
Let your mind soften at the base of the stem.
And trust the unknown.
When you feel like you've touched in on your intention,
Just inviting you to take a nice deep breath all the way in and sigh your voice out.
Getting ready for this first round of rhythmic breathing.
We're just going to do four counts in and four counts out once the music starts moving.
Breathing with the belly,
Breathing with the chest.
When you feel that desire to inhale,
See if you can just relax a little more.
Notice the desire and the instinct to breathe and just be with it and soften.
Trust your body to return to normal breathing.
In a spacious and relaxed way.
Feeling the fluidity of your body and the breath as it flows in and out.
Getting ready for the second round of breath.
Just enjoying some nice deep belly chest breaths.
Thanks for the body,
Thanks for the heart.
Now you can stay with a slow breathing rhythm.
Or you can go with me and we'll progressively increase the pace.
Whatever you need,
Whatever you need.
To the universal consciousness that flows through all things.
I open myself to the process of conscious evolution.
Aligning my actions with the greater flow of life.
May I be a conduit for positive change.
Both within myself and in the world around me.
Free me from the illusion of a separate self.
So that I may act in harmony with the interconnected nature of all beings.
Let me transcend my ego driven desires and fears to better self.
To serve the highest good.
Transform my challenges into opportunities for growth and understanding.
May my journey through adversity inspire and empower others.
Demonstrating the resilience,
Compassion and wisdom that arise from aligning with life's evolutionary current.
In facing each moment with mindfulness and acceptance.
May I contribute to the collective awakening of all beings.
Choose a rhythm that really serves your body,
Serves your being.
You can keep it slow or you can go fast,
You can change it up,
Whatever you want.
