This is a walking practice.
In this meditation,
We're going to focus on awareness with the intention to use all of your senses.
So begin walking,
Becoming aware of how the ground feels beneath your feet.
This gives us the opportunity to feel completely immersed in the present moment.
Awareness is one of the roads that leads us to contemplation.
When we become fully aware of our surroundings,
We can begin to find magic in the mundane.
What are your hands doing?
Don't change the way they're moving or not moving.
Just become aware of them.
Observe how your hips sway from side to side.
Become aware of your posture.
Remember there's no need to change anything.
You become aware.
If there's a breeze,
How does it feel?
If there's no breeze,
How does the lack of it feel?
Now start becoming aware of the things around you.
Observe the objects around you.
Is there nature?
Are there any plants?
Concrete?
Can you observe any elements?
Earth?
Wind?
Sun?
Earth?
Fire?
Water?
Ether?
Ric smartphone?
Ether.
Now become aware of the colors around you.
Observe the different shades of green.
Of blue.
Any orange or yellow hues.
Any purple hues.
And even red.
If you find your mind continuously trying to think,
You can use the phrase,
Thank you mind,
You can rest.
The mind is constantly trying to protect us and guide us.
But sometimes it falls into overthinking instead of contemplating.
So throughout this practice,
We can also help the mind by giving it a little break.
Thanking it for everything it does for us.
But also giving it permission to rest.
When observing the things around you,
Try not to think about how it got there.
Or what it's doing.
What the purpose behind it is.
Just observe.
If you get distracted,
Come back to your feet.
And how they feel in relation to the ground.
Become aware of the sensations in your physical body.
How does it feel to be in your body today?
Are you tired?
Are you excited?
Are you calm?
Are you nervous?
Just identify the feeling of being inside of your body today.
Now what can you do today to have a more positive outlook on life?
Can you name ten things you're grateful for?
And if that's too much,
Can you name one thing you're grateful for?
Can you name ten things you're grateful for?
Can you name ten things you're grateful for?
There's nothing more you need to be doing right now than just existing as you are.
Now you can continue on your walk,
Repeating the same practice.
Or you can conclude this walking meditation,
Feeling more present and more grateful during the rest of your day.
Now you can continue on your walk,
Repeating the same practice.
Now you can continue on your walk,
Repeating the same practice.
