In this meditation we're going to turn self-doubt into confidence.

So I'd like you to first of all find a comfortable seat or you could lie down.

Just make sure you're nice and comfortable.

Take a few deep breaths all the way down into your belly and take your time to breathe out.

And as you are breathing calmly,

Slowly,

I'd like you to start noticing the supports you're receiving from the surface that you are sitting on or lying on.

The chair or the sofa or the bed or the floor.

Notice how you are supported.

Notice how you can just let go.

And as you keep breathing slowly,

Calmly,

Deeply,

I'd like you to just allow any stress,

Any tension,

Any tightness in your body or in your mind to leave your body,

Leave your mind and just roll out of you as if it was hot wax down the sides of a candle.

That's it.

Just allow it to leave.

Just for now,

You don't need it.

I'm going to count from five to one and with each decreasing number,

I'd like you to allow yourself to just feel more and more relaxed.

Five,

Becoming aware of how comfortable your body is,

How relaxed,

Sinking into the support.

Four,

Feeling your muscles heavy,

Comfortable,

Relaxed,

Almost as if they didn't want to move,

They didn't want to do anything.

Just enjoy the feeling.

Three,

More relaxed,

More and more and more relaxed.

Two,

Becoming aware now of how slow your breathing has become,

How very relaxed it has become.

Just enjoy it.

One,

Sinking further and further down into this peace,

Into this tranquility.

That's it.

And I'd really like you to use your imagination now to create a door in front of you.

It can be any material you choose it to be,

It can be any size,

Any colour,

Any style of door.

Just imagine or create or even sense that there is a door in front of you and there is light on the other side of the door.

You can see glowing from underneath with a sense of excitement,

A sense of promise.

So bring to mind some goal that you have,

Something that you would like to learn,

Something that you would like to achieve or just to be better at.

Open the door now and find yourself just in the right environment for your goal.

For example if you want to get fit,

Then you'll find yourself in a gym.

Or if you want to become a teacher,

You might find yourself in a classroom.

And just take some moments to explore the space around you.

Where are you finding yourself?

At doors,

Indoors?

What is around you?

Just notice every detail.

Look at the colours.

Notice the smell in this place.

Notice what you're wearing and how the clouds feel on your skin.

Are there any sounds around you?

And just notice or be aware that everything and anything you need to achieve your goal is there in this space available to you.

I'd like you to become aware now that there are people around you forming a circle around you,

All of them with big smiles on their faces,

Looking at you with a look of love in their eyes.

There might be some friends you recognise or family members,

Acquaintances,

Teachers,

Mentors or even people you don't know.

Some of them might be authorities in this field where you want to succeed.

Some of them might be people that you admire,

Role models,

Even historical figures.

They all have one thing in common.

They want to offer you love.

They want to encourage you.

They want the best for you.

And they are there to cheer you on,

To spear you towards this goal that you want.

They want to see you happy.

They want to see you succeed.

And they believe in you.

They know that you can.

So just see them all around you,

Smiling at you,

Encouraging you,

Cheering you on.

And just allow yourself to soak up all of this love,

All of this encouragement.

As if you could feel it,

Sense it around you.

As if you could breathe it in,

Absorb it and make it yours.

As they stand around you,

Hear what they're saying,

Feel what they're feeling for you.

Take it all in.

And just feel how all of this belief,

All of this faith,

All this faith coming from these people is filling you up.

All of you,

Your whole being,

As if it was lighting you up from the inside out.

As if it was filling you up with so much encouragement that there is just no room for any self-doubt anymore.

There is no room left for any fear.

And out of this circle of people,

I'd like you to see one person step forward.

This person is going to be your personal coach.

This is someone who loves you.

This is someone who understands you.

This is someone who believes in you and someone who has the knowledge,

Experience and the skills that you need.

As this person steps forwards,

They put a hand on your shoulder and as they do,

You feel this immense surge of belief,

Of confidence,

Of courage,

Of strength filling you up.

And it is so intense,

It is so strong that you can see yourself taking action.

You can see yourself starting to move towards this goal.

You can see yourself taking the next step and then the next step and the next step after that.

See yourself full of confidence,

Just making your way towards what you want.

See yourself walking with confidence.

See yourself moving with confidence.

Your head high,

Your body open,

A smile on your lips.

Hear yourself talking with confidence.

See yourself experimenting.

See yourself taking risks.

See yourself making mistakes as well and notice how different your reaction is.

Notice how you just take the feedback,

Grateful for the feedback and tweak what you're doing.

Adjust your aim and just keep moving on.

Just take a few moments now to just watch yourself,

Witness yourself acting with that confidence which deep down is yours.

Well done.

And I'd like you now to fast forward yourself in time and see yourself six months from now.

See yourself again with your personal coach and in the middle of these people who love you,

These people who want the best for you,

Believe in you,

Their support circle.

And I'd like you to see how you have made progress towards what you want.

I'd also like you to see how you have encountered problems,

Setbacks,

Difficulties and how you have reacted.

Maybe in the past you would have stopped.

Maybe in the past you would have lost confidence and given up.

But not now.

Not this you.

Not the new you.

You have kept moving on.

You have kept absorbing the support,

The encouragement,

The strength of these people around you and your coach.

You've kept flooding yourself,

Steeping yourself in energy,

In courage,

Strength,

Strength.

There is just no room left for doubt.

There's no room left for fear inside you.

So you just keep moving on.

That's what you do.

It's just what you do.

You move forwards on your way,

On your path.

Maybe take in detours sometimes and then just going back on your path,

Going back to pursuing your goal,

Knowing who you are,

Knowing what you want,

Knowing your strength.

And again take a few moments to just watch yourself,

Just watch your journey.

And see how you're able to just set aside any doubts,

Set aside any insecurity by using your resources.

You are just moving on,

Unstoppable,

Unfazed,

Enjoying your journey.

Find the name easier and easier to not judge yourself but instead support yourself.

Be on your own side.

Enjoy the progress,

Enjoy the journey,

Enjoy the adventure.

See yourself triumphant,

See yourself smiling,

See yourself fully inhabiting and embodying your confidence,

Your faith,

Your belief in yourself.

Well done.

I'm going to count from one to five now and with each increasing number you will feel more alert,

More full of energy,

Ready for your new confident life.

One,

Becoming aware of the space that you're in and two,

Aware of your body,

Your arms,

Your legs,

Your body.

Three,

Bringing these wonderful feelings with you,

This self-belief,

These new intentions.

Take a nice deep breath and five,

Open your eyes and welcome back.
