Hello and welcome to your flowing through emotions meditation.
This meditation is perfect for any time that you are experiencing an emotion and energy in your body that is in motion that you get to move through that you get to feel through.
So the first thing I'm gonna have you do is just get nice and comfortable take a seat or lie down.
And the first thing I want you to ask yourself just tuning into your body and asking yourself is this a fact or is this a feeling?
Oftentimes we create stories around why we're feeling what we're feeling and it can feel so so so true that it's this event the circumstance this person but what I know to be true is that 99.
9% of the time it is just a feeling it is just an energy in motion and emotion in the body that is coming up ready to be healed ready to be processed.
We need to feel in order to heal our emotions provide us with important information particularly the ones that we avoid feeling like fear shame sadness scarcity heartbreak they are divine messengers that bring with them data about our wounds and they are invitations to the part of ourselves that crave healing.
So when an emotion arises that is painful uncomfortable or scary something that you might be feeling in your body right now as you're listening to this meditation know that it is coming up for you to process and heal and many times it only takes a minute or two to fully feel and allow it to flow through your body and be released.
So just tuning in is this a fact or a feeling and we know that it's not true if the same thing doesn't apply to everyone else on the planet.
Then let's go ahead and detach any story you've created around why you're feeling this way.
So just allowing yourself to sit it to the side as if you're taking a helmet off and you're just setting it on the table next to you or onto the earth releasing the story for now about why you're feeling this way so that we can be with the energy freely.
And now I'd like to invite in some breath so let's go ahead and take some nice long deep breaths together breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your mouth breathing in through your nose out through your mouth inhaling feeling your belly and chest expand and exhaling feeling yourself soften a little bit into your body you are safe to feel breathing in and breathing out one more nice deep breath filling up your lower belly and chest and softening as you exhale and now just inviting in a better feeling thoughts what is one thought that will allow you to feel just a little bit better right now maybe saying everything is happening for me in perfect timing I am safe I am okay in this moment I am okay I am in the process of getting better this will get easier I can feel through this I can handle this just inviting in one thought that just makes you feel a tad bit better and coming back to that at any point when any story comes up in your mind and we're just going to flow through this met this energy in your body so tuning in to where you feel that in your body maybe you feel the emotion in your heart or in your belly or in your throat or in your head maybe you feel it in your arms or legs just noticing where you feel that in your body and breathing into it let's bring some breath into this area you are safe to feel just noticing how you can feel this part of your body and nothing's going wrong noticing how safe you are feeling your hips on the seat beneath you your feet on the floor maybe feeling a little proud with a little smile in your heart or on your face that you're feeling through this breathing and emotions release through breath movement and sound so tuning in to this part of your body this energy and asking this part what would you like in order to release if it's anger oftentimes running punching pillows shouting screaming into a pillow or out loud if you're not worried about anyone hearing you is great if you're sad crying is great holding yourself and breathing if you're anxious breathing into the earth if you're feeling a lot of tension in your body shaking your arms and legs jumping up and down just letting it flow out of your body into the earth sometimes all we need really is just to relax and surrender into our body you may have noticed a little bit of an opening maybe even a full release of the emotion just tuning in to how that area in your body feels now and being so grateful for this practice whether the emotion has fully moved through or if it's still hanging out what happened in this practice was perfect it was perfect it was what was meant to happen so placing your hands on your heart or one hand on your heart one hand on your lower belly and telling yourself thank you so much for breathing through this telling yourself thank you I love you thank you I love you I'm so proud of you I'm so proud of us and I'll leave you here if you feel called to continue breathing if you feel called to use movement or sound or all three to continue releasing feel free I love you so much have a beautiful day you
