Finding a comfortable stable meditation posture.
Ideally sat upright at the cross legged of a cushion or in a chair.
The back is straight,
The head reaching up to the sky,
Shoulders dropped,
As if the weight of the world had been lifted from your shoulders.
Belly soft.
Hips,
Legs and feet forming a solid base.
And you may want to sway the body side to side or in circular motions until you find your centre point.
Finding alignment,
Arriving at stillness.
Beginning with some breath work,
With ten deep breaths.
Breathing in for the count of six,
Holding for six,
Breathing out slowly for the count of six.
Continuing this pattern for nine more breaths.
Five more breaths.
For these next few breaths,
Extending the out breath to the count of eight.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And just allowing the breath now to return to a natural rhythm.
Bring your attention down to the heart,
The point at the pit of the stomach,
Just below the belly button deep inside the body.
Focusing on this point,
Continuing to breathe.
Bringing awareness into the body.
Sitting tall with a quiet dignity.
And just forming the heartfelt intention to use this time in meditation to connect with an actualised,
Integrated,
Healthy masculinity.
We start by connecting with a scared,
Vulnerable child inside.
Scared all of us as a scared little boy,
With fears and insecurities.
Picture yourself as a child.
See if you can feel into the sense of that boy still living inside of you,
Being part of you.
What does this boy need to hear from you?
What does he need to feel from you?
What helps you can draw on his positive aspects,
On his curiosity,
His sense of awe and wonder at the world around him.
The part of you that wants to explore,
To climb trees and mountains,
To play sword fights with sticks,
To wrestle,
To be silly,
To have fun,
To compete.
Drawing on that innocent curiosity and wonder and playfulness.
Now drawing on connecting with the father inside of you.
Whether you have your own children or not.
We're all our own father in some sense.
Feeling to feel into qualities of fatherhood.
The type of father you want to be to your own little boy inside.
Perhaps saying the words to you that you needed or wished you could have heard from your own father.
Now shifting.
Love that.
Wow.
Good.
Good.
Awesome.
Perfect.
Great.
Awesome.
Distortion.
One more time.
Good.
Into the king archetype,
The king energy.
Going to mine the qualities,
The image of an ideal king.
Being has a sense of dignity,
A sense of calm authority,
Decisiveness,
Leadership,
Integrity,
Fairness.
Feeling to this within yourself,
Your own dignity,
Your strength,
Your power and authority,
Your integrity.
Lean into the sense of being a leader,
Leading yourself,
Being a leader for the people you care about and love.
Not bossy or controlling,
Not a tyrant,
But a fair leader with calm authority,
Dignity,
Resolve and integrity.
Dropping this image now,
Taking a big breath and creating a sense of the ideal warrior,
An image,
A feeling,
A sense.
The warrior is fierce,
Courageous,
Disciplined,
Loyal to a leader or to a cause that is greater than himself.
Lean into,
Feel into this warrior energy within you,
Your own ferocity,
Your own passion and determination,
The discipline to train your mind and your body,
Your willingness and ability to face fear with courage,
To keep moving forward,
To overcome obstacles in pursuit of what matters to you.
Taking care of that image with a big breath and then coming to the magician,
The wizard.
Imagine,
Bring to mind a wise,
Insightful magician or wizard,
One with deep awareness and insight,
Intuition,
Viewing the world as a place of wonder and mystery.
Lean into your own sense of insight and awareness,
The magic that exists within you,
Your own intuition,
Your curiosity and wonder,
Your ability to create.
Letting go of this image with a big breath and arriving at the lover.
Picturing the ideal lover,
Perhaps Eros,
The Greek god of love,
Or some other image.
The lover is passionate,
He loves fiercely and without reservation,
Open hearted,
Sensual,
Desiring to connect deeply,
Both with the heart and with the body.
Lean into,
Feel into the loving energy,
The passion within you,
Your own sensuality,
Your own desire to connect deeply.
Stopping this image now with another deep breath and see if you can sit here now,
Tall,
Unified,
With a sense of all of these energies,
These archetypes that exist within you.
The voice of the little boy within,
Of the father,
The king,
The warrior,
The magician or wizard,
And the lover.
Feeling into your childlike playfulness and curiosity,
Into the nurturing male presence of the father,
Into the dignity,
Integrity,
Authority and leadership of the king,
The curiosity,
The courage,
The discipline of the warrior,
The insight,
Intuition,
Magic and creativity of the magician or wizard.
The passion,
Sensuality and desire to connect of the lover,
Holding all of this within you.
Beware of your strength rooted deep in the base of your body and at the horror.
Feeling your strength,
Knowing that you've got this,
Grounded,
Powerful,
Strong,
Owning your power,
Feeling into your heart,
Open,
Soft,
Tender,
Passionate.
Sitting in this moment right now.
In the energy of positive,
Integrated masculinity.
Open,
Connected to all parts of you and ready to bring these with you out of meditation into your day.
Ready to draw on the child,
The father,
The king,
The warrior,
The magician or wizard,
And the lover.
Ready to feel and lean into your strength and power and also into your heart.
Resilient presence with a tender,
Loving heart.
A masculine energy the world needs now more than ever.
You are the actualised,
Integrated man.
Taking some deep breaths.
Feeling all of this in you.
As you breathe deeply and blow out.
Strength,
Dignity,
Leadership,
Ferocity,
Passion,
Insight,
Intuition,
Creativity.
Passion,
Tenderness,
Sensuality,
Strength and tenderness all within you.
All available to you in each moment.
You may want to start to wiggle your fingers and toes to sway the body or to stretch.
And slowly,
After hearing the third bell,
Opening your eyes to end the meditation.
Have a great day.
