Hello everyone,
Let's meditate.
Today's meditation is about Shukrani or gratitude or giving thanks.
So find a comfortable sitting position and you're sitting in a way that is comfortable for you.
And just take a moment to bring into view everything you're grateful for.
Everyone you're grateful for.
Making a mental list of everything you're grateful for.
I am grateful for.
And keep giving thanks intentionally.
And then repeat after me.
I am grateful for who I am.
I am grateful for what I have.
I am grateful for my ability to take care of myself right now.
I am grateful for who I am.
I am grateful for what I have.
And I am grateful for my ability to take care of myself right now.
I am grateful for who I am.
I am grateful for what I have.
And I am grateful for my ability to take care of myself right now.
And you can keep repeating the mantras,
I am grateful for who I am.
I am grateful for what I have.
And I am grateful for my ability to take care of myself right now.
And then you can add any other things that you're grateful for.
I am grateful for my community.
I am grateful for my family.
I am grateful for my job.
I am grateful for the forests and the ocean.
I am grateful for what the universe has to offer.
I am grateful for my daughter.
I am grateful for this opportunity.
Keep going.
Practicing gratitude.
Practicing sukrani.
And my invitation to you is to keep practicing the practice of gratitude and bring it into your busy life.
It's simple.
Pause,
Breathe,
Give thanks and repeat.
Take advantage of moments of your life to practice gratitude,
To practice sukrani.
You can do these practices when you're brushing your teeth.
When you're walking,
When you're filling your water bottle.
Pause,
Breathe and give thanks.
The magic lies in the repetition.
Give thanks to the breath you're taking right now.
Bringing your attention and your awareness back to your breath,
To your inhale and to your exhale.
As you invite yourself back into your seat,
Back into the space.
Together,
We reach both hands up.
And your hands to your heart center.
One breath,
Inhale.
Exhale.
Bring your thumbs to your forehead.
Namaste.
Thank you.
