Hi,
Let's meditate and start by finding your seat sitting upright.
You can sit with cross legged,
You can sit on hero's pose.
You can even be sitting on the chair.
If you're sitting on a chair,
Bring your feet to touch the ground.
Sitting in a way that is empowering for you.
And for today's meditation is on sustenance,
Our relationship with food.
Choose to close your eyes or to drop your gaze.
Bringing your attention to your inhale and bringing your attention to your exhale.
And think of food in regard or as a source of strength and nourishment.
And to maintain a healthy body,
We should eat food,
Which helps our body to function.
And right now,
Right here for you,
Do you eat for nourishment or do you eat for pleasure?
Now,
In this meditation,
My ask for you is to avoid using food to pacify emotions.
And to contemplate why we may crave certain food.
Why do you have the craving?
For example,
Craving sugary food,
Maybe,
Maybe to help satisfy the need to receiving or giving love.
And then can we set or change our attention to eating food that nourish us.
Food that gives strength to our body.
Bringing attention to eating food that cleanse the body and remove toxins.
Focusing on eating food that build a healthy body and mind.
A commitment to eating whole natural food.
As yogis or as the person practicing this meditation,
My invitation for you is to really,
Really observe what you eat.
And my invitation is for you to eat whole natural food for nourishment,
Detox and building strength in our body.
Take a slow inhale and a slow exhale.
And here silently make a commitment to yourself to eat healthy.
To eat food that helps our body function.
A commitment to eat for nourishment,
But not for pleasure.
Full breath in,
Long breath out.
Inviting yourself back to your space,
Back to your seat.
Noticing your surroundings.
Inhale,
Reach both hands up.
Exhale,
Hands to your heart center.
Thank you so much for meditating with me.
Heart arms to your forehead.
Namaste.
Thank you.
