The 50 Miracle Principles,
In A Course in Miracles,
Highlight that miracles are expressions of love,
Available equally to everyone.
Miracles function as transformative acts that heal.
Miracles correct perception.
Miracles restore awareness of unity and wholeness.
There is no order of difficulty in miracles.
All miracles arise from a state of divine,
Purified thought.
Miracle Principle 6 states,
Miracles are natural.
When they do not occur,
Something has gone wrong.
This emphasizes that miracles should happen effortlessly,
As a natural expression of love,
And true perception in our lives.
Their absence signals that we've allowed fear,
Judgment,
Or separation to block our awareness of love's presence.
The path back to miracles is through correcting our thoughts,
And returning to a state of alignment with our true,
Spiritual nature.
Prepare for meditation,
Sit comfortably,
Close your eyes,
Become aware of your breath.
Each inhale and exhale softens your body and your mind.
Remove all expression from your face.
Relax even more.
You are standing at the edge of a clear mountain lake.
Breathe in,
The crisp,
Clean air fills your chest.
Towering mountains circle you with silent strength.
The lake water is smooth,
Cool,
Reflecting the sky and the quiet,
Silent strength of the mountains.
Ancient,
Immovable,
Circling around you with a calm presence.
Far above your head,
In that infinite expanse where sky meets eternity,
Rests a source of golden white light,
Shining in every direction.
This light is more than physical,
It emanates from the very home of being.
This golden light pours down through the crown of your head,
Entering your body,
Enveloping your mind,
Your heart,
Your spirit,
Effortlessly,
Connecting you directly to the greater whole,
Reminding you,
You are linked,
Forever,
To our source.
There is a supportive presence by your side.
The Holy Spirit,
Your higher self,
Is standing with you.
Together,
You survey the lake.
In total,
As you stand at the shoreline,
Your gaze falls upon the surface.
This golden light,
Reflecting on the surface,
Is not separate from you.
Reach down,
Skim your fingers across the cool water.
Watch as the soft ripples spread out.
Each one is a thought,
Or a worry.
As the ripples dissolve,
Peace returns,
Quickly,
Naturally,
Swiftly absorbed by the vast stillness of the lake.
Forward,
And move into the water.
As you walk into the water,
The golden light washes up your legs,
Over your entire being.
Every cell in your body soaks up this light,
Restoring your original radiance.
Warmth seeps deep within,
Dissolving tension,
Dissolving doubts,
Dissolving any sense of separateness or lack.
Notice how natural this feels.
This is your true state.
Lie back and float on the water's surface.
The lake effortlessly supports you.
Golden sunlight streams through your heart.
This support and light require no effort.
You do not need to strive for peace or strain for miracles here.
They arise naturally,
Like the sunlight and the gentle ripples.
They are inherent,
Unforced,
Eternally yours.
If any sense of heaviness or doubt appears,
Notice how quickly it dissolves in the light.
How the unnaturalness of struggle is obvious.
The lake and the golden radiance teach you,
Wordlessly,
That only peace and the natural flow of miracles are truly natural.
All else quickly evaporates with this knowledge.
The knowledge that disharmony,
Unity,
And openness are not special states,
But the ground of your being.
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
I acknowledge this deep awareness.
I trust this awareness to repattern my body,
My mind.
I welcome transformation as this awareness awakens every part of my being.
Miracles are as natural as breath,
Sunlight.
There is no effort,
No force.
Only presence,
Openness.
When miracles are absent,
It is a sign to return to your inherent state,
As easily as returning to this still,
Golden mountain lake.
Now rest a few moments in this truth.
Miracles are natural.
When they do not occur,
Something has gone wrong.
Miracles are natural.
When they do not occur,
Something has gone wrong.
As we prepare to return to our regular state of thoughts and feelings,
To time and space,
We remember that peace,
Light,
And miracles are our true nature.
Returning home to them is the most natural awakening there is.
So take a few deep breaths,
Move around a bit.
Remember,
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
