In a course in miracles,
A miracle is defined as a correction in perception.
It does not create something new or change external reality.
Instead,
A miracle reminds our mind that what it sees through fear or separation is false.
Unlike the traditional notion of a miracle perceived as supernatural or a physical intervention,
A course in miracles defines a miracle as an inward shift from fear to love from separation to unity,
Reminding us of our true nature.
The first principle of a course in miracles states that there is no order of difficulty in miracles.
No miracle is harder or bigger than another.
All miracles are equal,
Regardless of the problem's apparent size or seriousness.
Since miracles come from the same divine source,
Every act of true love carries the same potential to heal.
Every act of forgiveness carries with it a shift in perception.
The distinction between big and small issues becomes illusory from a spiritual perspective.
The equality of all miracles is found in their capacity to return our mind to truth and unity.
Prepare for meditation,
Relax the body and mind,
Remove all expression from your face,
Let all tension go.
Now in your mind's eye,
Bring up a small irritation,
Something that feels minor,
Almost forgettable.
Hold this annoyance without judgment.
Let it float before you light as a feather.
Now bring into your awareness,
Something heavier,
Wound or a challenge you've considered big.
Place this beside the small irritation.
Let both be present in the same space.
Notice the difference in how you relate to them.
A radiant golden light descends from above a light that is pure love,
Infinite,
And all embracing.
This light flows to both situations equally,
Touching each with the same warmth,
With the same grace.
To love.
There is no small.
There is no large.
All is equal.
Everything is worthy of healing.
As this golden light surrounds both the small and the big notice they are bathed in the same love.
Neither one favored.
Neither one is left out in the presence of pure love.
All distinctions fade away.
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
There is no order of difficulty in miracles.
Say all expressions of love are maximal.
Know the truth of these words in your heart.
Every act of love is whole.
Every call for healing is answered completely.
There is no scale.
There is no measure of worthiness.
Love gives itself always totally.
See both situations,
Large and small dissolve in this radiant golden light.
There is nothing left to fix,
Nothing left to compare,
Nothing left for you to carry with you in this golden radiant light.
There is only the quiet presence of peace rest in this field of pure love and healing.
All love is equal.
Every healing is now there is no order of difficulty in miracles.
All expressions of love are maximal.
There is no order of difficulty in miracles.
As you return to the present moment to time and space,
No,
That unchanging peace is always within embracing every moment,
Every challenge,
Every gesture of forgiveness and compassion.
Take a few breaths to establish the waking state,
Knowing that nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
