"Let Miracles Replace All Grievances" Practice the exercises with great specificity, as will be indicated. This will help you to generalize the ideas involved to every situation in which you find yourself, and to everyone and everything in it. Be sure that you do not decide for yourself that there are some people, situations or things to which the ideas are inapplicable. This will interfere with transfer of training. The very nature of true perception is that it has no limits.

Welcome to Active Meditation.

A Course in Miracles Lesson 78 Let miracles replace all grievances.

Perhaps it is not yet quite clear to you that each decision you make is a decision between a grievance and a miracle.

Each grievance stands like a dark shield of hate before the miracle it would conceal.

And as you raise it up before your eyes,

You will not see the miracle beyond.

Yet,

All the while it waits for you in light.

But you behold your grievances instead.

Today we go beyond the grievances to look upon the miracle instead.

We will reverse the way you see by not allowing sight to stop before it sees.

We will not wait before the shield of hate,

But lay it down and gently lift our eyes in silence to behold the child of God.

God waits for you behind your grievances,

And as you lay them down,

God will appear in shining light where each grievance stood before.

For every grievance is a block to sight,

And as it lifts,

You see the child of light where the child has always been.

God stands in the light,

But you were in the dark.

Each grievance made the darkness deeper,

And you could not see.

Today we will attempt to see God's child.

We will not let ourselves be blind.

We will not look upon our grievances.

So is the seeing of the world reversed as we look out toward truth,

Away from fear.

We will select one person.

You have used as a target for your grievances.

We will lay the grievances aside and look at this person.

Someone,

Perhaps you fear and even hate.

Someone you think you love,

Who angered you.

Someone you call a friend,

But whom you see as difficult at times,

Or are depleased,

Demanding,

Or untrue to the ideal they should accept as theirs according to the role you set for them.

You know the one to choose.

Their name has crossed your mind already.

They will be the one of whom we ask God's child to be shown to you through seeing this person behind the grievances that you have held against them.

You will learn that what lay hidden while you saw them not is there in everyone and can be seen.

The one who was an enemy is more than a friend when they are freed to take the holy role the Holy Spirit has assigned to them.

Let this person be savior unto you today.

Such is their role in God's plan.

Our longer practice periods today will see this person in this role.

You will attempt to hold them in your mind.

First,

As you now consider them,

You will reveal their faults,

The difficulties you have had with them,

The pain they caused you,

Their neglect,

And all the little and the larger hurts they gave.

You will regard their body with its flaws and better points as well,

And you will think of their mistakes and even of their sins.

Then,

Let us ask of God who knows this child of God in reality and truth that we may look on this person a different way and see this person,

Our savior,

Shining in the light of true forgiveness given unto us.

We ask them in the holy name of God and of his child as holy as himself,

Let me behold my savior.

In this one,

You have appointed as the one for me to ask,

Lead me to the holy light in which they stand,

That I may join with them.

Keep the body's eyes closed,

And as you think of the one who grieved you,

Let your mind be shown a light in them beyond your grievances.

Let's practice.

Identify a person you have used as target for your grievances,

Someone you fear and may behave,

Or someone you think you love who angered you,

Or someone you call a friend,

But whom you see as difficult at times or hard to please,

Demanding,

Irritating.

You know the one to choose,

Their name most likely is already in your mind.

First,

Reveal their faults.

The difficulties you have had with them.

The pain they caused you,

Their neglect,

And all the little and the larger hurts they gave.

You will regard their body with its flaws and better points as well.

Think of their mistakes and even of their sins.

Let us ask of God to let us see this person in a different way,

To let us see this person as our savior,

Shining in the light of true forgiveness that they now give to us.

As you picture this person,

Say to yourself,

Say in your mind,

Let me behold my savior.

In this one you have appointed as the one for me to ask,

To lead me to the holy light in which they stand.

That I may join with them.

Repeat after me.

Let me behold my savior.

In this one you have appointed as the one for me to ask,

To lead me to the holy light in which they stand.

That I may join with them.

As you think of this person who grieved you,

Let your mind be shown the light in them beyond your eyes.

Let me behold my savior.

In this one you have appointed as the one for me to ask,

To lead me to the holy light in which they stand.

What you have asked for cannot be denied.

Your savior has been waiting long for this.

They would be free and make their freedom yours.

The holy spirit leans from them to you,

Seeing no separation in God's trial.

And what you see through them will free you both.

Be very quiet now and look upon your shining savior again.

No dark grievances obscure the sight of them.

You have allowed the holy spirit to express through them the role God gave them,

That you might be saved.

Amen.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

God thanks you for these quiet times today in which you laid your images aside and looked upon the miracle of love the Holy Spirit showed you in their place.

.

.

.

The world and heaven join in thanking you.

For not one thought of God must but rejoice as you are saved and all the world with you.

.

.

.

We will remember this throughout the day and take the role assigned to us as part of God's salvation plan and not our own.

Temptation falls away when we allow each one we meet to save us and refuse to hide their light behind our grievances.

To everyone you meet and to the ones you think of or remember from the past allow the role of Savior to be given that you may share it with them.

For you both and all the sightless ones as well we pray let miracles replace all grievances.

God waits for you behind your grievances.

Let miracles replace all grievances.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.

wow, this lesson is one that I intend to repeat over and over to release all grievances that hold me apart from others. I wish to see the Light in all Beings, just as brightly as I see my own. there is no separation. thank you, as always, for sharing 🙏💖
