"I will not hurt myself again today." This lesson emphasizes that we hurt ourselves when we refuse to accept our true identity as God's Child, choosing instead to believe in the ego's illusions of separation and guilt. It teaches that all pain and suffering are self-inflicted, as they arise from our own thoughts and perceptions, which we can change by choosing forgiveness and aligning with God's love. By recognizing that our experiences are projections of our own minds, we can stop attacking ourselves and others, and instead choose to see the world through the loving vision of Christ. A Course in Miracles Lesson 330 I will not hurt myself again today.

Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function.

Why should we attack our minds?

Why should we give our minds images of pain?

Why should we teach our minds that they are powerless when God holds out His power and His love,

And bids our minds to take what is already theirs?

The mind that is made willing to accept God's gifts has been restored to spirit.

The mind that is made willing extends its freedom and its joy.

The mind that is willing unites the will of God with its own.

Our higher self,

Which God created,

Cannot sin and therefore cannot suffer.

Let us choose today that our higher self be our identity,

And thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us.

Our child cannot be hurt.

Father,

If we think we suffer,

We fail to know our one identity,

Our higher self,

That we share with you.

We would return to our higher self today.

As we return to our higher self,

We are made free forever from all of our mistakes.

As we return to our higher self,

We are saved from what we thought we were.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
