"Only an instant does this world endure."

The fleeting nature of the world and its illusions, reminds us that the reality of eternity lies beyond the temporary experiences of time and space. This lesson teaches that sorrow, death, and fleeting joys are part of the ego's false perceptions, which obscure the eternal serenity of God's holy world. By recognizing that this world is but a passing moment, we can let go of grievances, attachments, and fears, aligning instead with the eternal peace and love of God.

Only an instant does this world endure.

This is a thought which can be used to say that death and sorrow are the certain lot of all who come to this world.

Their joys are gone before they are possessed.

Their joys are gone before they are even grasped.

Only an instant does this world endure.

This is the idea that lets no false perception keep us in the world's hold.

Only an instant does this world endure.

This is the idea that lets no false perception represent more than a passing cloud upon a sky eternally serene.

We seek this serenity,

Unclouded,

Obvious,

And sure today.

Father,

We seek your holy world today.

Father,

We,

Your loving children,

Have lost our way for a while.

Father,

We have listened to your voice and we have learned exactly what to do to be restored to heaven.

Father,

We have learned exactly what to do to be restored to our true identity.

Father,

We give thanks today that the world endures,

But for an instant.

We would go beyond that tiny instant to eternity.

Only an instant does this world endure.
