A Course in Miracles Lesson 205 Review Lesson 185 I want the peace of God.
Move through your preparation process for meditation,
Relaxing your body and removing all expression from your face.
Set aside all that you think you know,
And set aside all that you think you understand.
I'll be silent while you do this.
Our day begins and ends with this.
I am not a body,
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
Try to repeat this on every hour during the day.
In this meditation,
No form of exercise is required,
Except a deep relinquishment of everything that clutters up our mind.
Quieting our mind gives us freedom.
We give these times of quiet to our higher self,
Our inner teacher,
Who instructs in quiet,
Who speaks of peace,
The teacher who gives our thoughts whatever meaning they may have.
There is only one exception to this lack of structure in our meditation.
Permit no idle thought to go unchallenged.
If you notice an idle thought,
Deny its hold on you.
Assure your mind that this thought is not what your mind would have.
Then,
Quickly and gently,
Replace the thought with the idea we practice for today.
I want the peace of God.
Say to yourself,
This thought I do not want,
I choose instead.
I want the peace of God.
Now,
As we move into communion with our higher self,
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
Along with me,
I am not a body,
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
I want the peace of God.
The peace of God is everything I want.
The peace of God is my one goal.
It is the aim of all my living here,
The end I seek,
My purpose,
My function,
And my life,
While I abide where I am not at home.
Ponder on this.
I want the peace of God.
This thought I do not want,
I choose instead.
I want the peace of God.
The peace of God is everything I want.
The peace of God is my one goal.
The peace of God is the aim of all my living here.
The peace of God is the end I seek.
The peace of God is my purpose and my function.
The peace of God is my life while I abide where I am not at home.
This thought I do not want,
I choose instead.
I want the peace of God.
Finally I am free.
The peace of God is everything I want.
The peace of God is my one goal.
The peace of God is the aim of all my living here.
The peace of God is the end I seek.
The peace of God is my purpose and my function.
The peace of God is my life while I abide here where I am not at home.
I am not a body.
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
I want the peace of God.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
