Review Lesson 184... "The Name of God is my inheritance," teaches that the Name of God embodies the essence and totality of what we truly are, representing an eternal inheritance beyond worldly possessions. This lesson emphasizes that invoking God’s Name allows us to recognize our divine origin and inherent unity with God, which is our true and only inheritance. By affirming this connection, the we are encouraged to transcend our earthly identity and experiences, tapping into a profound source of peace and spiritual identity. A Course in Miracles Lesson 204 Review Lesson 184 The name of God is my inheritance.

Move through your process to prepare for meditation.

Relax your body.

Remove all expression from your face.

Set aside all that you think you know.

Set aside all that you think you understand.

I will rejoin you in a moment.

Set aside all that you think you know.

Set aside all that you think you understand.

Our day begins and ends with this.

I am not a body,

I am free.

I am still as God created me.

Try to repeat this on every hour during the day.

In this meditation,

No form of exercise is required,

Except a deep relinquishment of everything that clutters our mind.

Quieting our mind gives us freedom.

We give these times of quiet to our inner teacher,

Our higher self,

Who instructs in quiet,

Who speaks of peace,

The teacher who gives our thoughts whatever meaning they may have.

There is only one exception to this lack of structure in our meditation.

Permit no idle thought to go unchallenged.

If you notice an idle thought,

Deny its hold on your mind.

Assure your mind that this thought is not what it would have.

Then gently replace the thought quickly with the idea we practice for today.

Say to yourself,

This thought I do not want.

I choose instead,

The name of God is my inheritance.

Now as we move into a deep connection with our higher self,

Say to yourself,

Say in your mind after me,

I am not a body,

I am free.

I am still as God created me.

The name of God is my inheritance.

God's name reminds me that I am his child.

Not a slave to time,

Unbound by the laws which rule the world of sick illusions.

Free in God,

Forever and forever one with him.

Ponder on this.

Set aside all that you think you know.

Set aside all that you think you understand.

This thought I do not want.

I choose instead,

The name of God is my inheritance.

God's name reminds me that I am his child.

God's name reminds me that I am not a slave to time.

I am unbound by the laws which rule the world of sick illusion.

I am free in God.

Quieting our mind gives us freedom.

I am free in God.

I am forever and forever one with God.

I am not a body,

I am free.

The name of God is my inheritance.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
