A Course in Miracles,
Lesson 202 Review,
Lesson 182 I will be still an instant and go home.
To prepare for meditation,
We place our body in a comfortable position.
To help relax,
We take a few deep breaths.
We remove all expression from our face.
Let your face muscles relax and feel this relaxation moving throughout your whole body.
As we move through our preparation process,
We also put aside all that we think we know,
And all that we think we understand.
I'll be quiet while you move through your preparation process.
Our day begins and ends with this.
I am not a body.
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
Repeat after me.
I am not a body.
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
Try to repeat this on every hour during the day.
And remember also every hour that each of us has a function that transcends the world we see.
In this meditation,
No form of exercise is required,
Except a deep relinquishment of everything that clutters our mind.
Quieting our mind gives us freedom.
We give these times of quiet to our Teacher,
Who instructs in quiet,
Who speaks of peace.
The Teacher who gives our thoughts whatever meaning they may have.
There is only one exception to this lack of structure in our meditation.
Permit no idle thought to go unchallenged.
If you notice an idle thought,
Deny its hold on you.
Assure your mind that this thought is not what your mind would have.
Then gently replace the thought quickly with the idea we practice for today.
Say to yourself,
This thought I do not want.
I choose instead,
I will be still an instant and go home.
Now,
As we move into a deeper connection with our Higher Self,
We say to our Self,
I am not a body,
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
I will be still an instant and go home.
I am not a body,
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
I will be still an instant and go home.
Why would I choose to stay an instant more where I do not belong,
When God himself has given me his voice to call me home?
Ponder on this.
I am not a body,
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
This thought I do not want.
I choose instead,
I will be still an instant and go home.
I will be still an instant and go home.
Why would I choose to stay an instant more where I do not belong,
When God himself has given me his voice to call me home?
This thought I do not want.
I choose instead,
I will be still an instant and go home.
Why would I choose to stay an instant more where I do not belong,
When God himself has given me his voice to call me home?
I am not a body,
I am free.
I will be still an instant and go home.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
