It is not necessary to cover the comments that follow each idea either literally or thoroughly in the practice periods. Try, rather, to emphasize the central point, and think about it as part of your review of the idea to which it relates. The exercises should be done with your eyes closed and when you are alone in a quiet place, if possible. Welcome to Active Meditation,

A Course in Miracles,

Lesson 179,

Review,

Lesson 168.

God is love,

Therefore so am I.

Steady our feet,

Father.

Let our doubts be quiet.

Let our holy minds be still,

And speak to us.

Lead our practicing.

We will listen to your word and make it ours.

We accept the word you offer us to unify our practicing,

As we review the thoughts that you have given us in these lessons.

Your grace is given me,

I claim it now.

When your mind remains asleep,

God loves you still,

And when your mind awakes,

God loves you with a never-changing love.

God's grace is yours,

By your acknowledgement,

And the memory of God awakens in the mind,

Which asks God the means whereby the mind's sleep is done.

Today,

We ask God for the gift that he has most carefully preserved within our hearts,

Waiting to be acknowledged.

This is the gift by which God leans to us and lifts us up,

Taking salvation's final step,

Himself.

All steps but this one,

We learn,

Instructed by God's voice.

Finally,

God comes Himself,

Takes us in His arms,

And sweeps away the cobwebs of our sleep.

Request of God now,

To give the means by which this world will disappear,

And vision will come,

With knowledge,

An instant later.

Repeat after me,

God,

Your grace is given me,

I claim it now.

Father,

I come to you,

And you will come to me,

Because I ask.

Father,

Your grace is given me,

I claim it now.

Father,

I come to you,

And you will come to me,

Because I ask.

Father,

I am the child you love.

It is a new and holy day.

Today,

We receive what has been given us.

We acknowledge our mistakes,

But God,

In whom all error is unknown,

Is the one who answers our mistakes,

By giving us the means to lay them down,

And rise to God in gratitude and love.

And God descends to meet us,

As we come to Him for what He has prepared for us.

God gives,

And we receive.

Such is God's will.

Spend a few moments pondering on this.

In grace,

You see a light that covers all the world in love.

In grace,

You watch fear disappear from every face,

As hearts rise up and claim the light as theirs.

What now prevents that heaven be delayed an instant longer?

What is still undone,

When your forgiveness rests on everything?

Father,

I am the child you love.

Your grace is given me,

I claim it now.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
