Welcome to Active Meditation,
A Course in Miracles,
Lesson 174,
Lesson 158,
Review.
God is love,
And therefore so am I.
Steady our feet,
Father.
Let our doubts be quiet.
Let our holy minds be still and speak to us.
Lead our practicing.
We will listen to your word and make it ours.
We accept the word you offer us to unify our practicing as we review the thoughts that you have given us in these lessons.
Lesson 158,
Review Today,
I learn to give as I receive.
What has been given you?
The knowledge that you are a mind,
In mind and purely mind.
The knowledge that you are sinless forever,
Wholly unafraid.
The knowledge that you were created out of love.
The knowledge that you have not.
The knowledge that you remain as you were created.
This was given you as knowledge which you cannot lose.
No one who walks the world has not received this knowledge.
It was given as well to every living thing.
What then are you to learn to give today?
The previous lesson evoked a theme found early in the Course in Miracles text.
It is not this knowledge which you give,
For that is what creation gave.
All this cannot be learned.
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
Today,
I learn to give.
Today,
I learn to give Christ's vision.
Experience cannot be shared directly in the way that vision can.
The revelation,
The experience that the father and the child are one will come in time.
We cannot share our experiences,
But we can share Christ's vision as one law.
Christ's vision does not look upon a body and mistake the body for the child God created.
Christ's vision beholds a light beyond the body,
Beholds an idea beyond what can be touched.
Christ's vision beholds a purity undimmed by errors,
A purity undimmed by pitiful mistakes,
Undimmed by fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin.
Christ's vision sees no separation,
Looks on everyone,
Looks on every circumstance,
Looks on all happenings,
And looks on all events without the slightest fading of the light it sees.
This can be taught and must be taught by all of us who would achieve it,
By all of us who experience it.
To give Christ's vision requires but the recognition that the world cannot give anything that faintly can compare with this in value.
Christ's vision requires the recognition that the world sets up goals that merely disappear when Christ's vision has been perceived.
It is Christ's vision you give today.
See no one as a body.
Greet them as the child of God they are,
Acknowledging that they are one with you in holiness.
Ponder on this.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
Today I learn to give Christ's vision.
Into God's presence would I enter now.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
