Hi there,

Welcome back to the final meditation in our three-part series.

In the first meditation,

We work to identify a negative pattern or habit with compassion and non-judgment.

In the second meditation,

We practice accepting what has happened,

Inviting in grace and forgiveness as we prepare to let go.

And in this meditation,

We invite in change by visualizing ourselves in a different pattern.

Find a comfortable seat or rest lying down.

Close your eyes and start to relax.

Draw your attention to your breathing without changing the breath or altering it in any way.

Just notice the beautiful qualities of the inhale and the exhale,

Allowing yourself to relax and rest in this primary state of being.

If the mind is busy or wants to wander away from this moment,

That's okay.

Our job isn't to clear the mind of thoughts,

But to direct the mind and to observe those thoughts.

If at any time you lose your place in this meditation or your concentration,

Just gently direct your attention back to your inhale and your exhale.

Can you bring into your mind's eye now that pattern or habit that we've been working with?

Can you put it back up on the movie screen and see it in its entirety,

The whole cycle?

What leads up to that negative pattern or habit or thought?

How you feel in that moment and look at what tends to follow.

Observe the cycle in its entirety with grace for yourself,

Forgiveness in this moment and compassion,

Knowing that we do our best in the moment,

Knowing that we have the strength and the power to change.

As you look at your cycle,

Can you see the space in the cycle where something could be different?

What is that?

Can you explore that for a moment?

Can you choose a new thought,

A new behavior,

Invite in a habit,

One that brings you contentment and peace?

What does that feel like for you to visualize that happening in your life?

What does it feel like to release the heaviness of a pattern that doesn't serve you?

Is there a lightness or freedom or contentment there?

Can you take this moment to visualize what your life would be like without this habit,

Without this pattern?

What is happening or not happening?

As you rest in this new reality for a moment,

What feelings are present?

What feelings are absent?

Can you hold your mind here?

Maybe in this space of contentment,

Notice what's happening in your body.

Without judgment,

Just observe what's there.

Maybe just observing the rise and fall of the chest or the belly with the breath.

Or observing the gentle breeze across your upper lip.

We have the power and the ability to shift ourselves and our ways of being.

We can slowly move away from old or negative thought patterns and move into new ways of being,

More satisfying ways of being,

From a place of difficulty to a place of optimism,

From a place of heaviness.

You are in this new way of being right now,

In this moment.

Hold space for yourself in that feeling.

Let it fill every cell of your body.

Start to deepen your breathing.

Start to move,

Wiggling the fingers and the toes,

Bringing your awareness back into the space to this moment.

Gently blink your eyes open,

Take in your surroundings with this new lens,

New way of being.
