The 4 count breath is very simple and very effective for stress relief, to calm the tension in the body and to get your mind into the present moment, where the magic happens. We breathe all day, every day, but we rarely focus on the breath. When we take a moment to embrace the breath, you'll find a sense of euphoria. Very simple and very effective!

Alright,

Welcome to this very simple yet very effective breathing meditation.

So today we're going to do the four count breath.

Now just check in with yourself.

How are you feeling physically?

How are you feeling mentally?

Rate yourself from one to ten.

So one being very relaxed,

Very calm and ten being very anxious and very tense.

Now find a comfortable seat,

Whatever that is to you.

It might be sitting in a chair or sitting cross legged on the floor.

Whatever comfortable is to you.

Put your hands wherever is comfortable on your lap or on your legs or even in the mudra is good.

Sitting nice and tall.

Relaxing the shoulders.

Tucking the chin very slightly and closing the eyes.

Now let's breathe together.

Inhale in through the nose to the count of four.

Three,

Two,

One.

Exhale out the mouth for four.

Three,

Two,

One.

Inhale in the nose for four.

Three,

Two,

One.

Exhale out the mouth for four.

Three,

Two,

One.

Good.

Now one more time at your own pace with your own breath.

Beautiful.

Now checking back in with yourself.

How are you feeling physically?

How are you feeling mentally?

Get yourself from one to ten.

Notice the difference that just a few big breaths does.

Calms our mind,

Lowers our blood pressure,

Relaxes our nervous system and takes us out of that mental chatter.

I hope this helps you on your journey and I will catch you on the next one.
