Welcome to the sixth of your seven chakra meditations in rewiring your nervous system.
The third eye chakra is all about perception and wisdom.
It is located at the ridge between your brows and then slightly up where you find an indentation in the forehead.
It is the sixth sense and it is all about intuition.
When the chakra is open we see and understand our inner and outer world clearly.
It governs clarity,
Intuition,
Self-realization,
Observation,
Dreaming,
Concentration,
Witnessing and imagination.
It is the seat of the conscious.
So I'd like you to settle into a comfortable seated position,
Aligning the skull over the spine,
Tuning in to your natural flow of breath and connecting to the space between your brows at your third eye.
Allow your awareness and your attention to rest here,
Maintaining a gentle focus on your breath,
Receiving and integrating the knowledge and wisdom emanating from the third eye chakra.
This chakra has the capacity to expand our awareness to a degree in which we are no longer limited by our own individual perception and accommodate very different viewpoints.
It unifies the right and left hemisphere of the brain and it holds the capacity to cut through illusion and dismantle any limiting thought.
It is associated with psychic abilities.
This chakra is also associated with the color indigo and with unlimited potential and the element of light.
It supports the governance over the pineal gland,
The pituitary gland,
Hypothalamus,
Eyes,
Frontal sinuses,
Many parts of the brain,
The skull,
Ears,
Nose,
Endocrine system and the parasympathetic nervous system.
When this chakra is out of alignment,
It can show up in headaches and migraines,
Forgetfulness,
Seizures,
Disassociation,
Confusion,
Eye problems,
Hormone imbalances,
Sleep disturbances,
No sense of direction,
Strokes,
Prejudices,
Brain tumors,
Sinusitis,
Delusion,
Anxiety,
Depression,
Denial,
Ear problems,
Learning disabilities,
Rigid perspectives,
Apathy,
Loss of consciousness,
Disturbances in appetite and temperature regulation.
Opening the third eye chakra and bringing it into alignment is achieved by integrating all aspects and all parts of you and to stop identifying with a singular perceptual reality.
It asks you to commit to self-awareness.
The more you are aware of yourself,
The more you can access and accommodate different perceptual realities.
It is all about stretching your perspectives.
And I'd like you to tune in and breathe,
Just allowing this contemplation to settle into your third eye.
Allow anything that arises within your mind to arise and show itself to you.
Practices that immensely support and open this chakra are meditation,
Learning something,
Intuitive exercises,
Self-questioning,
Dream work,
Yoga,
Imaginative practices,
Focus exercises,
Mindfulness techniques,
Art,
Breath work,
Shadow work,
Meaning working with the subconscious and making it known to you.
Also getting in touch with your feelings and processing them through the physical body.
Limiting exposure to electromagnetic fields keeps this chakra open and aligned.
Getting sleep.
This chakra really depends on deep rest.
You may explore stargazing or sungazing to open this chakra.
Silence hugely benefits this chakra.
Better listening and contemplation.
Getting enough sunlight and getting indirect sunlight into the eyes cleanses and opens the third eye chakra.
Turning it with sound frequencies that resonate with you.
It is also stimulated by a multitude of colors,
Like the color spectrum of the rainbow.
It likes a bit of everything.
This chakra is most responsive to what you consume.
The cleaner,
The more natural and the less processed it is that you consume,
The more supportive it is to the opening of this chakra.
Therefore fasting is also incredibly good for this chakra.
Expanding your perception and your perceptual reality truly heals this chakra.
So that you can bring yourself and set yourself up for a life guided by intuition and creativity.
To set yourself up for a life landing you on a path of purpose,
Possibilities and creation.
And I'd like you to sit with this for a moment longer,
Connecting to your third eye,
Connecting to your intuition,
Your wisdom,
Your personal perception and your potential for expanding perceptual reality.
Deeply tapping into this wisdom inside of you.
And then connecting to this wisdom inside of you.
Slowly reorient yourself back into the world,
Into the environment around you.
Consciously connected.
Taking a moment to close your practice.
And moving out into the rest of your day.
Namaste.
